reproduce:
1. Login with a DCS account

2. enable special INS-setting "pre-aligned" for Harrier

3. exit DCS

4. login with other DCS account

5. exit DCS

6. login with first DCS account again

 

special INS-setting "pre-aligned" for Harrier is reset again to "unaligned".

You are probably one of the only DCS  players with multiple accounts to bypass server bans, so this would most likely be extremely low priority!

And even if some DCS players would be using more than 1 account to "bypass bans", maybe they have quite good reasons, have you ever considered that?

its probably being ignored because it is not a bug and your call for help in in the bugs section. either way @Ironhand is spot on. the reason why special settings are going away is because the settings are saved in saved games for your account. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d

fair enough. semantics are great. use the link i provided and your 'problem' is solved. you also will no longer be frustrated about your messed up settings, at least. this will also effectively let one get around server bans until the new account gets banned. good luck

i am not assuming anything. just mentioning that it is possible. by the way when you do create a new account, so your brother can use the sim, make sure you use a good password only known to you.

Sorry, I should've edited it earlier, the brother-thing was a joke back then, as I was insanely frustrated that we still don't have official realistic ED PvP servers and that instead PvP server admins can ban anyone they simply don't like.

i get it. some server admins do the admin thing because they like the power. best way to beat them is don't go on their server. there is no point in those people. but on the otherhand don't try to fight with them either. they don't like to be wrong and their childlike tendencies come out. good luck to you and your 'brother' /s 🙂

If you are still trying to get around the server ban, use two separate windows account  and follow silver devil’s link.  Otherwise you will end messing up other DCS config files.

Set up your settings for each account, you can launch with a different saved game folder each time, search the forums for the answer.
