Yes it could be a nice addition - not only that, I'd have another reason to learn how to use it, lol. I have it for Mi-8, played a little with it but never actually used for what it is intended to use for lol.

Maybe I'm an outlier here but I prefer the pop up.  Easier to see, doesn't replace anything else, and can be used in both pilot/operator roles.

I am glad it has at least a analog moving map.

Analog paper map display would be a good candidate to be replaced with NS430 or tactical MFD with nav , comm, and fire control. MI-24P pit is so 1978.

I know some people use the paper map in the kneeboard and the binding “mark kneeboard map with present position” to be able to see exactly where they are and compare it to paper map in cockpit

Everybody does that. A quick checkmark on kneeboard map, made by computer, is as good as having digital navigation display. That task in real life, marking the map current position by hand, is incredibly difficult, and takes a lot of experience. Mounted land navigation is a martial skill, and a perishable one.

I hope ED will continue with GNS430 3d model implementation in all other cocpits... 

I need help from someone to make this possible trough Saved Games Mods folder using only LUAs, redirecting placement and from where to load model... This is all base core things, no custom models and textures. I would like to make same for Huey, Hind and some other aircrafts.
