Shouldn't the TACAN station identifier disappear from HSI/SA after turning off TCN, as well as bearing and range information?

Does it disappear when you turn off the datalink. The TCN and D/L systems should be interconnected. If not then it's most likely bugged.

This is probably the answer. When the physical datalink boxes were added to the jets, they replaced the previous TACAN boxes and included the TACAN function.

No. Even after turning off DL the TACAN station identifier is still present on HSI/SA page.

I would think so. It goes away when tuning a different channel (e.g. 16X BTM to 15X nobody).

Maybe we can get an official statement from @BIGNEWY or @NineLine, if this behaviour is correct as is or a bug.

Well, this little cosmetic issue has been fixed in one of the previous updates.

The station identifier does now disappear after turning off TACAN, as well as bearing and range information.
