WISHLIST FOR THE NEXT HELICOPTER AFTER AH64D

  1. 1. Which of these helicopters would you like to be considered as the next module to be developed? I've put in the list modules with only attack capacity or poor transport capacity. I'm curious to know what you think. Or maybe you feel more the need of a beautiful transport helicopter?

I would like to see more development in the Korean and Vietnamese eras.

These are the "Helicopter Wars."  The Helo came of age in the Korean conflict used mostly as transport and ambulances,

with such beauty's as Piaseki H-21 "flying Banana" Sikorsky H-34 and H-51, and don't forget the venerable Bell-47.

For Vietnam, we have the Huey of course, but we really need the early Cobra and Chinook, both H-46 and 47 to round out the list.

Any early model or cold war era Blackhawk would also be most welcome.

I can't believe you didn't include the Lynx or Wildcat in the list. Shame on you!

As much as I'd like to see the former (basically any naval variant), the problem with them, especially the latter, is that they're British, who are fairly notorious for classifying absolutely everything, even for stuff long out of service.

You are missing the next most produced Soviet Helicopter - Mil Mi-2!

Like an Mi-8 and a Gazelle or OH-58 had a baby... cannon, machine guns, rockets, anti-tank missiles, anti-aircraft missiles - quite a variety in the Polish URP version...

I really like this one!

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Yeah, it pioneered the twin-roof turbine layout of the Mi-8 and Mi-24... and was also used for a lot of weapon fits over the years.. and is ubiquitous as a transport and utility helicopter with almost 5,500 built!

Plus the anti-tank missiles are more primitive so it gives a bit of that Mi-24D experience (MCLOS)... while also having a 23mm cannon, rockets, and Iglas...

either the
the ALOUETTE 3,
(it has rocket pods and door gunners, its perfect for scouting and drooping troops in)
Defence: Alouette III helicopter
the Mi-4
(it has Falanga ATGM's, UB-16 rocket pods and a nose gun, it's perfect for transporting cargo or troops and killing tanks)
Blog o grze Heliborne: Przegląd śmigłowców występujących w ...
or the Ah-1 cobra
(with rocket pods, TOW and hell fire ATGM's, a rotary auto cannon and depending on the variant IR AAM's, its perfect for tank killing and escorting hueys)
Helicopter Photos: AH-1 Cobra

My preferences for next helicopters would be:

The more realistic possibilities:

- I concur with armed Mi-2 ideas, if only for having a potentially armed light scout helo from the Red side too, and the thing is just cute!

- AH-1F and/or AH-1W, but in late 80s to early 90s variants. We already have a really modern attack helo in AH-64Di so these would bring a very different flavor, and bring the iconic Cobra into the sim. They'll also be a great counterpart to the Hind.

- A blackhawk of some description could be cool I guess, but I'd rather see the above two before that myself.

- SeaKing variants would also be cool.

- Wouldn't say no to a heavy transport like CH-47, CH-53, Mi-6, Mi-26 etc, and Chinook would be a unique helicopter due its configuration too. But these may prove a little too niche perhaps.

Not nearly as likely things that I'd still love to see if possible:

- Ka-52 and/or Mi-28N or above

- Wouldn't say no to a Mi-35M either.

- Rooivalk, because obscure and cool 😛

Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V
