I also feel like the improvements were a bit too harsh/exagerated. Only way to get them to reliably fire is with the Kdo.Gerät. Without they sometimes aim "randomly" into the sky and never even attempt to fire.

indeed, using the kdo.gerat gets the german flak to shoot, but how about the allied ones? now UK has a flak gun that only works as a anti-tank gun?

As a workaround you could use one of the factions that have all the units available. This way you should also be able to get the british ones to fire with the kdo.Gerät in their group. 

But for a proper solution, we have to wait for ED to implement the allied counterpart.

thanks for this open beta update, now my UK flaks can fire again

But there is still one issue, flak 18 are open for those who not own WW2 assets pack, on the otherhand KDO is locked under WW2 assets pack, how do you manage to make flak 18 engage air enemies while not owning WW2 assets pack?

That is a similar issue in that we want to add a lesser director for free units, right now they just wont fire well.

is this still something thats tracked? the core flak-18s basically don't engage air contacts at all without the KDO unless that contact is diving on them and very close

some way to get them to engage would be nice, otherwise no point having the 18s outside the asset pack (event he allies placeholder rangefinder is asset pack which seems wrong?)

I’ve configured a battery flak41 template in a mission, and only the 20mm guns are firing. The flak41 template has the kdo. Is there any other flak template working? Or all templates are bugged?

I5 12600KF - 32 GB DDR4 - Nvidia RTX 4060 - SSD + NVME

Nadie es un completo inutil, por lo menos sirve de mal ejemplo.

I think I found the problem. The flack88 from the stock game can not be mixed with flack88 from WW2 Assets Pack in the same mission. 

I5 12600KF - 32 GB DDR4 - Nvidia RTX 4060 - SSD + NVME

The flak units in generally do not really engane  incoming fighters, but only after theyve passed.

Also, theyre very sensitve to time ... they wont fire before 4 or 5 am.. where they did before.. was pretty fun for night missions and searchlights..

This can be reproduced on the fly really...

Thanks I will check this as well, with new fog coming visibility tuning will need to be done.

In what way is it broken?  I'm currently using flak in a mission and not seeing any problem, but my mission is mid-day.

Are you referring to twilight conditions?

I've noticed all the optically targeting AD engaging at about 1/2 range in low vis.

Here is a test.  Both fighters and bombers are working for me. Using both Flak 41 and 18.  I tested in both SP and local server.

The issue seems arbitrary, I've been fighting with it as well lately, ks-19s with a fire can that will sometimes track the target, guns will aim but never fire, then in another mission they work fine, etc
