After two years of casually flying with DCS, this campaign finally gives me the immersive experience I was looking for.

The others I tried felt lacking in engagement, partially because the setup was way too detached from reality (like the Museum Relic campaign). (Note: I don't have the Hornet and I realize most if the campaign are for that plane)

Also, finally a great campaign in Syria!

Yesterday I completed the second mission after more than a week of trying and failing as I realized how much knowledge I was still missing in using the F-16's A-G systems. The experience was very rewarding and how two hours disappeared was insane. This is like an old school AAA gaming layer on top of DCS's top notch, but a bit sterile foundations, the cherry on top.

Many thanks for creating this, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the missions as well as future campaigns!

Thanks very much, appreciate the feedback.  Hope you keep enjoying the rest of the campaign just as much!

The campaign is very good, I've been impressed with how the AI reacts to different scenarios over the radio.

It would benefit from better maps to set the stage. I'm sitting here with the entire Syria map in Adobe Illustrator, slowly collating all of the bits (refueling, no-flies, and northern SAM sites) from the disconnected smaller maps in the briefings and SPINs. I finding it to be a very different picture then I'm getting from the descriptions.

I don't know if this has been addressed yet.  But the DataLink in Weasels Campaigns does not work.  I have watched Bogey Dope's videos of the campaign and he addresses the issue by shutting OFF the GPS Time and then turning it back on.  It works for him, but not for me.  I have notice in his videos, the bottom of the GPS Time reads INPROG when he first switches it ON and changes to COARSE and then FINE.  The icon shows up on the HDS.  However, when I shut OFF and turn back on, it immediately goes to COARSE then FINE, but the ICON never appears on the HDS.  Just thought you should know.  It would be nice to have.

System Specs:

AMD 5950X (liquid-cooled), Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Pro Motherboard, 32 GB RAM DDR4 3200MHz, Samsung Evo 970 Plus 2 TB, Seagate 2TB SSD, Geforce RTX 4080 GPU, Rosewill Glacier 1000W Power Supply, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS (Stick, Throttle), Thrustmaster TPR Rudder Pedals, NaturalPoint TrackIR 5 w/ProClip, (1) Vizio 40" 4K Monitor, TPLink Dual Band Wireless Card, Window 11 OS

Nothing to do with the campaigns, there's a Viper bug where sometimes data link takes a while for the AI to appear.  Bogey Dope video might be out of date now, theres been some updates to the Viper since then.  Don't turn on the data link and Mids switches until your INS is aligned, after that data link should work fine.  I've never needed to mess with GPS time, that was a workaround for an old bug I believe.

Hey ChillNG, I tried your advice on the datalink issues for Weasels FIWOS (aligning the INS before turning the MIDs and DL on).  It did not seem to help things immediately, but I did notice my wingman did show up on the HDS much later in the mission.  I guess some things cannot be helped when working with ED code.

Other than that, as always, you delivered a high quality product as real to life as can be made and still appeal to the masses (I'm sure sacrifices were made to procedures and protocols to make more "playable" for the average Joe).  Of course, us hardcore simmers would want the "full monty", but that just isn't as marketable to everyone.  Anyway, I love your stuff and encourage you to keep pumping it out as I will, most certainly, purchase it.
