Searching for high quality A-10C sounds

Hello folks.

 

My next video will feature the DCS: A-10C, and i am now looking to collect sounds, since the A-10 doesnt exactly sound like any other jet, im a little short in that area.

So if you know any videos/links to videos featuring the A-10 and the sound quality is good/decent, please post them here :)

 

What im looking for, besides the standard external continous sound:

 

- A-10 flyby sounds

 

- A-10 30 MM cannon

 

- Maybe some far off distance sounds of both jet and/or the gun sound.

 

- I saw a clip of some soldiers beeing very close to the impact area of a A-10 gun-run, and one of the soldiers was filming it. Noone got hit, but the sound was scary and so powerful. Would love to get this in high quality, if possible.

 

- A-10 taxiing

 

- A-10 engine startup/shutdown (not really essential, but it could help).

 

I'm sure i can find stuff on my own, but i want good quality sounds, so if you can help me out, i would greatly appreciate it. :)

I don't know what material they collected for their work, but I thought the Battlefield 2 Mod Project Reality had at least a decent A10 gun sound.

 

You could contact them and ask what material they have collected and what they can share

Now before someone starts laughing at a BF2 mod, this one might still be BF2 but they did a hellish good job on varying sounds between distance and nearby and so on, so their sound team sure did some research.

Is it allowed using sounds from hollywood movies? Transformer have a scene with a A10 (don`t know which type) attacking a transformer.

True but the sound effects in this particular scene can not be used because of all the background noise, such as screaming, music, gunfire, etc.

Check out the lockonfiles skin/sound download below. The cannon sound is quite good. Very scary sounding :) Sorry I don't recall the author but I am sure it will be listed in the Modman list.

 

A-10A 47th FS with new Gun Sound

"A-10A Skin in 2048 x 2048 based on an authentic Aircraft from the 47th Fighter Squadron Homebased in Barksdale/Louisiana, which is now in action as OA-10A in A-stan.

I have also added modified Soundfiles for the GAU-8 Gun. To me it sounds now more realistic.
