Do AI see/react to the new clouds? No, planned for future release TBD.

If memory serves the AI did not observe the new clouds on release.  Meaning that if you flew into a cloud the AI would track you as if you were flying VFR.  Has this been fixed since release of the new clouds?

Thanks,

This is planned but we have no ETA and it seems like ED is rotating priorities, so we have to wait for them to shift their attention back to weather.

Not really.  That's major enough that I can almost guarantee it would have made the release notes.

Boggles the mind that we get new clouds which can’t actually be used in single player. This issue is unlikely to ever get fixed based on the previous clouds having the same issue for a decade.

oh well, sure look pretty in screenshots.

A later task, once the foundation is complete, will be to provide AI line of sight blocking in addition to light direction/scattering visibility limitations for AI.

Given ED's past history with clouds and AI, I personally don't think they'll ever be able to stop the AI having x-ray vision. Even if they do get it working, the language used in the paragraph you quoted suggests it's many years away if it ever does come.

History shows that the clouds were requested, then planned and now we have them. Just like with any unimplemented feature. Play with what you have. Waiting is unproductive. Development takes time but it'll all come.
