Hi all,

Super new to DCS and just purchased a new Thrustmaster Warthog off Amazon a few days back and received it today.

I was pleasantly surprised to see an amended thumbstick on the throttles? Is this a newer model/design? The lights two way switch on the side also seem sturdy? I have seen complaints about that switch being the lowest quality of them all, but from what I can tell (noob) it seems to stand up with the rest of the quality. Its certainly not flimsy, its easier to actuate compared to the other switches on the base, but I suppose that's the point being a pinky switch of sorts.

Anyway, not sure if this is a new thing or not. If it's been mentioned, admin please delete!

The radar/TDC switch (Second from the left) is a new on on me. Wish I had that. Mine just has the 'bowl with a nipple in it' for lack of a better description. I find it extremely sensitive and it takes careful manipulation to lock things up with it.. Not exactly the best thing to work with when trying to jink around and evade..

Agree 100% with the Delta Sim Electronics Slew Upgrade, had my warthog less than a week and I ordered it. 10/10 would buy again.

Question: Does the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle come with an afterburner detent?

it does. there are mods you can get to make the bump so one does not have to lift to get to AB. https://www.shapeways.com/product/3MJPNE2SV/warthog-throttle-spare-part-afterburner-detent

Just a heads up, the throttle only warthog I just received from BH Photo has the old super sensitive nipple and not the new mini-stick. 😞

Wonder if TM sells the new switch as a "replacement part" and if it would be cheaper than aftermarket from Delta.

I'm surprised. I bought two Warthogs from BH Photo and they both have the new slew.

Did you get the throttle only or the throttle and stick package? Mine was throttle only.

Had a similar experience within the last couple weeks, also through B&H on my new throttle-only Warthog from them. Not a huge deal given the Delta's availability, but a mild annoyance.

I love the "nipple" With some practice, it is very accurate, and with the right technique, it is great for following moving targets.

I got the whole HOTAS. That might be the reason. They probably have a bunch of the old throttles left. They don't sell as many of those as the whole HOTAS.+
