NOWIS Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I cant hear the 8 beeps when missiles are launched. See trk-file and video: Thanks! Test_01.trk 1
Furiz Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Working fine on my end, went up vs SA-6 and it beeped, did you remove mods etc?
NOWIS Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 Ok, I tried it again with all mods off. I also did a repair on my install. Now I get a missile launch tone. Sometimes there are two beeps and sometimes 4 beeps but I dont get 8 beeps as it should be according to Wags. After 15s of missile launch I get one beep. Also not as shown by wags. Test_02.trk

Its very odd. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
NOWIS Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) Thanks for the response. Yeah, its odd. I tried to make a slow repair again and searched for extra files and deleted them. Now I got two beeps on launch and three after 15s. Is there anything else I could try? Test_03.trk Edited January 27, 2023 by NOWIS
AlexCaboose Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) It looks like you might be putting the missile in your RWR blind spot when you roll the jet. The beeps also sounded almost like a TACAN or ILS freq. Could you try a longer range SAM and avoid rolling the jet to prevent putting it on your blind spot? Something like an SA-10 near the edge of the WEZ. Well disregard some of that. I noticed at the very end of the YT video the launch indicator is flashing. Could still be partially the reason, but probably not the whole thing. Edited January 27, 2023 by AlexCaboose 476th vFG Website, 476th vFG Discord, 476th vFG Pipeline

But as you noticed and as you can see in my recent track files the SAM is not in a blind spot. I'm certain this is not the reason. Tests that I did before with other SAM systems brought the same results.

Do you have a Sounds/sdef folder for the F-16 in your core directory? Or where should the files be by default?
Solution NOWIS Posted February 8, 2023 Author Solution Posted February 8, 2023 Found the source of the problem. I've got the threat warning volume knob bound to a potentiometer in my simpit. As soon as I cleared the axis binding in the controls the RWR warning sound started to work as expected. @NineLine I'm not sure if this problem is caused by my setup or if a bug crept in here. Before the latest updates it worked flawlessly. Maybe you can check it out and see if the problem is on your side. Do you still think this thread should be flagged as "user mods"? Thanks for your work! Appreciate it, keep it up!
VarZat Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 This makes sense. When i go to adjust the volume after i started the RWR test, some sounds just cancels out.
