Ok, I tried it again with all mods off. I also did a repair on my install. Now I get a missile launch tone. Sometimes there are two beeps and sometimes 4 beeps but I dont get 8 beeps as it should be according to Wags. After 15s of missile launch I get one beep. Also not as shown by wags.

I tried your track and hear the same issue BUT when I take control right at the start it works fine for me. So did you do a slow repair? Its very odd.

Thanks for the response. 🙂

Yeah, its odd. I tried to make a slow repair again and searched for extra files and deleted them.

Now I got two beeps on launch and three after 15s. Is there anything else I could try?

It looks like you might be putting the missile in your RWR blind spot when you roll the jet. The beeps also sounded almost like a TACAN or ILS freq. Could you try a longer range SAM and avoid rolling the jet to prevent putting it on your blind spot? Something like an SA-10 near the edge of the WEZ.

Well disregard some of that. I noticed at the very end of the YT video the launch indicator is flashing. Could still be partially the reason, but probably not the whole thing.

Thanks for your input AlexCaboose. But as you noticed and as you can see in my recent track files the SAM is not in a blind spot. I'm certain this is not the reason. Tests that I did before with other SAM systems brought the same results.

so it doesnt generate the folder structure

The Sounds\sdef folder in 'Saved Games'  was given is too override the sound in the core files that had an issue without having to modify the core directory.

So it does not exist by default as it is not part of the core game directories.

Copy, thanks for clarifying. Do you have an idea how I could fix my problem? Do you have a Sounds/sdef folder for the F-16 in your core directory? Or where should the files be by default?

Found the source of the problem.

I've got the threat warning volume knob bound to a potentiometer in my simpit. As soon as I cleared the axis binding in the controls the RWR warning sound started to work as expected.

@NineLine I'm not sure if this problem is caused by my setup or if a bug crept in here. Before the latest updates it worked flawlessly. Maybe you can check it out and see if the problem is on your side. Do you still think this thread should be flagged as "user mods"?

Thanks for your work! Appreciate it, keep it up! 🙂
