Hallsy Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 I am curious about this as well. The default is very small for large earthworks.
Stratos Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 @TOMCATZ Is there any chance we can get a russian/red machine gunner? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
TOMCATZ Posted January 17, 2024 Author Posted January 17, 2024 Hm... Do you have any pics? Born to fly but forced to work.
Stratos Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 The PK or the PKM would be great. 1 I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Hawkeye60 Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I have this firearm model if you want it. With textures. Send PM "Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."
PeeJott17 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 @TOMCATZam I right that you made the cv-77? If so, may I ask some questions regarding hiw it is possible to be able as a Client/Player to hook-to-cat from parking?
TOMCATZ Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Dear PeeJott17 Yes I made the carrier more then 10 ago for FC3. But since I released all data to the community and changed multiple times my hardware, I have no 3D data left. So unfortunately I can not say something about the status and functions. I`m still wondering that the carrier is still used for DCS but it makes me very proud and happy. If I remember well I spent 6 months on that project ... Chees TOM Dear Stratos, That looks interesting. Give me some time but that looks like a job for me Cheers TOM 2 Born to fly but forced to work.

Really cool that the mod is still working. I need to take another look at it. I was hoping you might still remember that something weird had to be done to get the clients/players to hook to the cat, since that proves to be a problem with some user made carriers. I guess, it is always the same problem and mostly it is, because ED did something...well...unexpected and sometimes something, that really did not make any sense... Those things are remembered best...at least for me
TOMCATZ Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Hi, The animations for DCS Infantry driving me crazy but I still try to get better results ... So far I understood, DCS is not ARMA and will never be. Maybe we can touch it a bit... I still on it. So ... yeah ... Thats the news from me so far. Cheers TOM 7 1 Born to fly but forced to work.
Stratos Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 The fact that you're still trying is a excellent update by itself! 3 I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
grim_reaper68 Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Could you eventually make a tutorial or give explanations about animating soldiers?

TOMCATZ Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 (edited) Hi mates, that was a hard night ... I wish there is a way to make night vision available for the free camera. Okay - got to go to bed, cheers TOM Edited February 16 by TOMCATZ 8 Born to fly but forced to work.
TOMCATZ Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 (edited) Hi, so - that was a long weekend with modeling only. I will not have the time for the next 2 weeks. So I can provide some latest updates: The different equipment and uniforms can be selected in the editor. It´s like a "what you want-shop" ... I´m really impressed by the 3d art made by EagleDynamics. The hole C47 is so wow and the pilots are so detailed and accurate - just amazing ED! On this picture you can see the different sets: Face shield and glasses, Night vision, just sun glasses and so on ... I think I have to prepare another rifle - I love the German G36 ... will see. Thats the news so far. Cheers TOM Edited February 16 by TOMCATZ 6 1 Born to fly but forced to work.
TOMCATZ Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 (edited) Well ... well, well Our attack on the enemy positions in the flank went terribly wrong. Pretty soon, the enemy forces surrounded our positions and our small infantry groups were encircled. Commander Patrick decided to evacuate our guys in the night. So the plan was easy: infiltrate and land our spec team near the area under night vision conditions, hovering over the area and stand by for fire support, attack located enemy positions and finally bring our boys back home. Normally, I have nothing to do with ground ops- Fighters only. So I installed the good old Huey and tryed to fly it. What can I say: Finding the correct location in the night is pretty hard. As long as you stay un-detected. After dropping the special ops team I circled over the area and tried to get situation awareness. It was really intense - what is that? A friend? An enemy? ... Oh ... A BTR82! So ... where are my rocket pods? For luck I not only gave my fire teams night vision but laser pointers to. After a while I saw small little laser beams pointing to the enemy locations. That helped a lot. So I decided to switch to the gatling gun pods and sent a hot shower of steel into the direction. That worked well. Step by step our forces got the initiative and pushed the confused enemy out of the urban area ... and under my cover, the special ops team attacked without any casaulties. Finally, the area was completely under control of our forces. In the early morning, more Rangers arrived and the wounded have been evacuated to the nearest front hospital. A great success! So, what can I say... First: Ugra Media has built one of the most beautiful maps for DCS- the Normandy 2.0. The textures are very nice. It´s a European area which means: not endless sand and dessert, but fields, woods and nice villages and cities. The ground is too lighten, and the buildings too dark. But this can easily be done by adjusting the shadow options- Please see Mustangs mod. With a nice LUT filter ( more contrast - less colours) the Normandy map is looking more photo realistic what I really prefer. Even with boring helicopters you can have a really immersive scene and very interesting tasks (evacuate, infiltrate, cover your team - help them to survive) With the right radio comms, authentic actors, DCS can be not immersive, but epic! Cheers TOM PS: I crashed 3 times while I tried to learn the Huey Edited February 28 by TOMCATZ 3 2 Born to fly but forced to work.
TOMCATZ Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 Hello, Sick since some days - So I started playing with the new PlugIns for 3dsMax. After some hours I realized that I took the worst possible fighter project for that- with the most complex gear system, created by some soviet engineers with a big load of hate against simple solutions ... gosh!!! null Cheers TOM 3 Born to fly but forced to work.
