hI @currenthill how do you get the sky sabre and related units to be in deployed configuration ? ie missiles ready to launch  / Radar etc in deployed configuration. Also can you confirm if launching sam's is supported from Combined Arms - ie able to sit in the control vehicle and lock on and shoot down aircraft.

I'd like to add some, but I need to find good quality models to build upon. Unfortunately it's much harder finding suitable Cold War NATO models. But I'm always searching and collecting. 👍🏻

Which NATO assets would you suggest are the most wanted ones?

With the ASC C-130J coming ... a must have is the M-551 Sheridan! I dropped my share of those back in the 80's. I appreciated you putting it in your USA Assets Pack mod.

M47 variants, m48 variants, m60 variants, leapord variants, ypr 765. M102 howitzer, love how you do the m777 towed howitzer. Nike Hercules. Thinking of these we actually already have a good bit, and nato didnt really have the range the Warsaw pact had.

More Warsaw pact would be nice too. Rm 70 and ot 64. Spg 9 would be cool. 2s7 and all the Soviet towed artillery.

Infantry of any kind. Although I know that's very primal in DCS.

M-48

Personally, I would also really like the Soviet 2S7M Malka, I would be very grateful. I think that cannon is still in use.

Maybe some assets that were deployed across many theaters or years:

- AAA like Oerlikon GDF 35-mm and Bofors 40mm.

- SAM like Nike or Bloodhound.

- Maybe some NATO attack aircraft like A-7 Corsair II or Jaguar?

You make sure all the Sky Sabre units are in the same group, then set the group to alert mode red. The Sky Sabre doesn't have player controlled launch at the moment, primarily due to limitations with DCS Combined Arms.

May I suggest the humble GTR-18 Smokey SAM, a training device simulating the visuals of a SAM launch.

I would also love to see a configurable MUTES of some sort.

And I would also love to see the C-160 Transall.

All of these fit many of the possible scenarios in DCS. The Smokey SAM and MUTES would massively increase the immersion and realism of training against SAM systems.

Will ground-based electronic warfare systems be created in the future?

Убедитесь, что все подразделения Sky Sabre находятся в одной группе, а затем переведите группу в красный режим оповещения. На данный момент Sky Sabre не может запускаться по команде игрока, в основном из-за ограничений в DCS Combined Arms.

This is desperately needed within the core DCS world assets selection, it would allow for much more intense training missions (in Nevada for example) with visual cues to practice against but without having to put an actual threat into the mission or having to set yourself to "immortal"!

Why do units sometimes refuse to fire? What are the necessary conditions for this. For example. in this situation.Screen_251011_180830.jpgScreen_251011_180754.jpg

Aircraft and Ships, F-111F, EF-111A, and C-141B probably at the top of the list for fixed wing.  AH-1F/S and SH-3H for Helo’s, and Spruance, Adams/Lütjens, VirginiaKiev class for ships.

It mostly depends on how ED choose to implement ground-based EW in DCS. But as I always say, I'm open to most ideas. 👍🏻

Since this is a DCS core asset, please ask these questions in the core asset pack subforum, it's easier to keep them apart, thanks.

I would recommend you attach the test mission for me to try. 👍🏻

@currenthill the sky sabre detection range (I assume this is the yellow circle) seems very small ? am i missing something re increasing the range ?

It's using the Giraffe AMB radar, so I believe 150 km is a pretty reasonable range.
