So just brought Normandy 2, at the great price of $14.99 minus some miles....however, when logging in to DCS, its not showing as available to download? All I see is the channel map, which I dont currently have installed, although I own.....

Any ideas ?

Thanks

It was already included inside yesterday's patch, so there's nothing more to download. You just either have access to it or not depending on whether your purchase was properly recognized. If you're using standalone DCS, the map should be visible both in your E-shop profile and in the module manager as "DCS: Normandy 2". If you're using Steam, there's some clusterfeck going on right now unfortunately, with Steam not registering N2 purchases as it should.

Ok so i think maybe ive found the issue, so i hit the update and it updated, but i think that was the 'update; rather than the map, ive now come out the game, hit update again and its doing another update. Maybe this is the actual map.

What a pain in the %$#! I paid my 9.99, and it tells me that its installed, but like some of you, I dont have it. It's not updating so I assume I have the most recent version. Frustrating. Should have just stayed flying MSFS2020.

The Map is still called "Normandy" on the ME … create a mission and check on the ME if Paris & London are there, they are clearly visible on the ME Map.

That's exactly how it should look, so you're OK.  As Rudel pointed, open the editor, load the map and scroll up - you should see the new areas including London. Also, when flying over London and Paris you should see the buildings with high detail 3D models and high resolution textures (that's the only difference between updated N1 and fully activated N2).

@Ercoupe Take note. You might actually have the map properly installed already.

No Art, still have the old map. Can't scroll up. Just the coast of Normandy. I had hopes that it was fixed, cause this morning I was able to update the sim. But when I checked the Normandy map....still the old one.  Don't get it.

Same here, I have purchased update but I don't see map in the game but it's shown in the DLC manager (Steam version)

Are you on standalone or Steam version of DCS? On standalone, things should look like in pegasus' screenshots above. On Steam - I'm not 100% sure, cause I don't use it, but there are lots of useful tips from Steam users in the FAQ section. I believe they have to uninstall the Normandy 1944 from the library and leave Normandy 2 only to make it work.

Im still stuck with the Normandy 1944 version in my module manager.
Low res models but it is the full map area
Standalone beta version

^ That means you've got the "1.5" update for the old map (only area extension, low-res one), but upgrade to "2" hasn't gone through for some reason. Are you sure you've got the map visible in your E-shop account? Both purchases, for the old and new Normandy should be over there.  Is your Open Beta upgraded to the latest version?

Your Module Manager should show "DCS: Normandy 2" and the "DCS: Normandy 1944" should not be there. Main screen icon and all mission and editor menus should still show just "Normandy".

Does it matter if you are on the open beta version of DCS?

Sorry meant to say if you are NOT on the open beta version of DCS?

It matters all, only OB for now.

Yah I figured.  I went to buy it and it was locked.  I was able to get around the lock by clicking on  the buy button anyway and I could have paid for it but then I got thinking I might not be able to download it anyway because I'm not on OB.

So, I've purchased Normandy 2. The store shows I've purchased it. I'm on Open Beta. I've got the latest update. I'm using the Multi-Thread version. Still not showing up in the game....What am I missing?

Exceptional engineering...and a large hammer to make it fit!

Possibly nothing. It should only show as "Normandy 2" in the module manager. Everywhere else it's still called "Normandy" like the previous one.

Open mission editor, load the map, scroll up to confirm if London is there? Then scroll right to confirm if Paris is there? When in mission check if buildings in both these cities have high resolution 3D models and textures. If the answer to all three questions is yes, then there you go - that's Normandy 2 for ya.
