Trees are way too big and it's killing the sense of speed at low altitude

As a sidenote, those weird proportions do not stop at trees. Flying around Caucasus and Syria always gets me wonder from where they got those funny tiny windmills. Im more used to this scale:

German Windmills

I was just playing some RW mission on Caucasus and also noticed how huge the trees are. Then found this thread.

I don't really think this is even debatable, from a RW, you can barely even see buildings or populated areas, it's just huge trees everywhere that hide everything.  I live not very far from Georgia, just on the opposite side of black sea and while there are trees in the Cities, they are much smaller and much less. SOME forests may have 80meter trees but wow those are very very rare. 10-15-20m should be ok but trees in DCS caucasus are 60-70m mostly. Some are also not just tall but very wide as well, it is clearly scaling most likely intentional.

Now, why ED have them like this and is it fixable or would ED even consider is different story and the only think debatable here.

After reading through this thread, sometimes baffled, sometimes mathematically challenged and at times chuckling I have come to some realisations.

0. It isn’t fair to post gobbledegook in an English section as the final word to a discussion.

1. This is most certainly not ‘just a game’. This is a study level clickable cockpit massive tree simulator and should be respected as such.

3. Max is hugging big fat trees on his holidays. 🙂

4. Not one mention of the musclebound squirrels inhabiting these trees. I am regularly plucked from the sky by these while flying my Huey or Gazelle under or too close to the ‘jungle canopy’. Somebody needs to take their steroids away.

7. Some of the calculations posted in this thread seem to have confused my numberwang and I may need to recalibrate.

No bug or issue here, correct as is, and also there are different sizes of trees in Caucasus. Trees around 5-storey are perfectly normal and fine in the cities of temperate climate. That you're used to see smaller trees is not a DCS problem.

From those images it shows that they are about twice the height, all of those in the photo are below or at the height of the buildings to the centre/right of the image, but ALL of those in the sim are clearly above the similar height buildings

Yeah, no. They are almost the same.

Caucasian fir is the tallest tree in Caucasus area. It varies between 30 to 60 meters. It can only be seen in the mauntains at 1200-2000meters height.

Nothing taller than 30m can be seen in the lower mountain areas e.g. under 1200m.

Abd we speak about dense forrests and ideal conditions for the trees, not urban areas.

With some of the DCS trees seen near industrial facilities technicians could service top lights on evaporation tower chimneys using the trees as climbing ladders. 🙂 Anyway, at this point I'm more interested in pushing Caucasus into optional download status rather than getting a  promise of a fix. Which isn't coming.

I tried comparing tree heights using a facility in a specific town. The facility in DCS didn't even resemble the real one. Hell, I'm not sure the town was even on the correct side of the river.
