Is there a timeframe for more training missions?

I understand the module has just come out but I was wondering if there was a timescale for more ingame training missions to come out?

I know there are plenty of video tutorials but I really like the ingame ones

Same. Razbam does great training missions (look at harrier).

 

The few so far for f15 are great. I look forward to and hoping more for soon!

Id like to know where to find actual training material like vids on youtube. They are few and far between and hard to find. Absolutely should have had more training missions released to keep those of us not in squadrons interested.

Well i know there are tutorial videos online but its so much easier with ingame missions as it sets everything up, I was watching a video for the different AA radar modes and it just wasnt sinking in as I wasnt ingame and following instructions.

Also, save me making a new thread, is there a road map for features like the AI WSO?

I prefer training missions as well, though my way of learning a module is usually a combination of the available methods.

Training missions don’t get enough attention though, generally speaking…

Good question, maybe for wishlist corner. +1 for new content, even if I know 90% till now about the Eagle.

Well i think for now I will learn on more complete modules like the Hornet and Warthog and use videos to help transfer to the Strike Eagle.

It wasnt probably the best idea to learn DCS on a just released and incomplete module, especially one that IRL has 2 people flying it

I see nothing wrong with it as long as this is the aircraft you like. Can be flown all by pilot without problems. The EA state allows you to keep a steady slow pace of learning. You're with DCS for 3 years now already.

On the contrary, i'd say being with a module from the start is arguably better. There is no 'which bit of the elephant to eat first?' dilemma and relative lack of completeness means you have a relatively smaller set of features you can learn well without distraction. Then when the next bit is patched onto it then you learn that too.  The jets I know best are generally the ones i've been using since early release. Conversely, the ones I was late taking up or didn't stick with throughout their feature evolution tend to be ones I know the least.

As for the SE being a 2 seater, I haven't found the cognitive workload any greater than the F-18 (which itself exists in 1 & 2 seat versions) thus far.  Its not as if either are like the F-14 where entire systems only exist and can only be operated in the back.

In the meantime, there are these converted QuickStart missions to practice what you learn in the YouTube videos.  The only thing that I've had to do is edit the GBU mission to remove the training BDU-50s and add the regular GBU-12s.   These missions helped me a lot

Yes, this is what would also be useful, for a simple reason, WSO has completely different assignments of the same functions, and I don't want to read it, I skipped everything in the manual about WIZOO  well, almost, except for the switches, which are not in the front cockpit.
