Been considering to get the F-16 Viper TQS Throttle, to replace my TM Warthog throttle, but would be great to know if the Viper TQS can be mounted on my Monstertech desk clamp, like the WH. Is anyone in the know about this?

I would email TM customer service to see if they'll tell you the measurements and dimensions for the screw holes and the screw thread size. It is *highly* doubtful that TM didn't consider desk mounting in their design so I would think it'll be compatible. Hopefully, it's the same as the TM Warthog; that would only make sense to me. But doubtful that we'll know for sure until either orders start shipping, or one of the YouTubers with early access review units test and post their findings.

I have the same question regarding the screw-layout on the bottom-plate. There is a pre-review from Redkite:

He posted 2 screenshots from the manual - it seems the base has some some sort of screw-mounting on the bottom, but unclear:

Right now, there are no manuals / documentation available on the TM support page for this product. So it seems we have to wait or you could contact TM support (https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/viper-tqs-mission-pack-en/) for the manuals.

It is pretty dumb of TM to have a pre-purchase right now without exact official shipping date and no documentation what so ever.

If you contact support, please share feedback with us on this topic. Thx.

I filed a case asking about this. Will feed back when/if TM replies.

Hello

Look at the picture.
Units are centimetres
The 11 cm should make it possible to attach the front or rear to a monstertech plate originally intended for the warthog throttle.

Monstertech do offer the Viper TQS plate now on their website.

For anyone who has them/considering buying them, Foxx Mounts will have mounting plates around November 1st of this year.

Source: Direct commo with Mr. Foxx via email.

Also they're great mounts. Compatible with lots of accessories from other brands as well. Using them for about 6 months with no complaints.

I got my TQS today and was able to mount it to the Monstertech clamp without any problems. I could only fit two screws at the back, which seems to be sufficient, but if I want it even more firmly attached I would need to either drill two more holes in the Monstertech plate, or come up with some other solution. Doesn't seem to be necessary though.

I am planning to use the screws (like you do) and then velcro the front to the plate... Monstertech has already released a TQS specific plate 🙂

About a year ago, I bought myself an IKEA chair, Monstertech mounts, and Winwing F-16 throttle and stick. No complaints whatsoever!

I'd take a look at Winwing. I think they're higher quality than Thrustmaster. They're supposedly double the price too, but they always seem to be 50% off.

The original Monstertech plate from the Warthog did not work on all four holes. I had to drill two additional ones. But since then, it fits ;-9
