YESSSSSS!!!!!!! Please, When will it be available is the better question? And per LoyalNine's point...Having the depictions, etc. in English for the English version would be extremely helpful and is technically a must.

I would like it to be 100% english, I mean please use english names for buttons switches, etc.

I would like the exact opposite. I fly with Russian labels on (as it is what the real chopper looks like). Thus, I vote for keeping the Russian buttons/knobs, just like it is in the current PDF manual.

wombat778 .......The reference for both the vote and the manual is North America, Not Russia.

I don't understand what you are saying. I use the North American version, but choose to fly with the Russian cockpit selected in the options. My point is I prefer the printed manual to remain the same as the current PDF, e.g. with Russian photos. Of course, you may disagree, but that doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion...

You don't understand that the reference...should I say it again, reference of this entire vote is for North America. What does that mean to you. It means English to me. And if this was a reference to Russian, then I would say hey...I'd like it to stay the way it is in English...when referencing Russian, which is how you are relating to this topic. It has nothing to do with you voicing your opinion...it has everything to do with you understanding what you are making comments about...i.e. a North American version, i.e. English.

..

Absolutely !

I have already printed out the PDF, but I'd imagine the one ED comes out with will be considerably more manageable. Mine is Ginormous.

i.e. a North American version, i.e. English.

Umm no. The North American version permits both Russian and English cockpits. It is NOT English only. It is just an option like any other option. While some (or most) people may choose to set the cockpit to English to make things easier for them, this does not make it the "right" way to play the sim (personally, I view it as a cheat, much like unlimited ammo, invulnerability or easy avionics). If the North American version did not include an option for Russian cockpits, then I might agree with you. But it does include the option. Thus, it would be perfectly reasonable for the North American version to have an English manual that includes knobs/buttons in Russian, just like in the current PDF manual that comes with the North American version (and just like exists in the real helicopter).

Please feel free to disagree, but do not pretend that your point of view is the only correct one.

Just curious--will said manual come with kneetop checklists with start-up procedures, EP's and shut down procedures?

I'll be purchasing the manual regardless, btw.

The code is probaly in Russian anyway.

Could the manual be ring bound, in order to insert updates from .pdf's or something? My biggest gripe with fancy printed manuals is that many parts tend to become obsolete when it comes to something that evolves, like software (Falcon 4's ring bound manual was quite handy when it came to adding the multitude of extra manuals/updates now required)

For whatever it's worth, I completely agree with wombat :).

I would definitely buy a printed manual. If I have to keep waiting, I may have to get it printed out myself (which would suck)!

Oh I like this idea! Even though I have the checklist printed out, a nice laminated spiral bound version from ED broken up into "Pre-Start", "Startup", "Before Taxi", "Taxi", Before Takeoff", "Takeoff", "Climb-out", "Cruise", "Attack", "Decent", "Approach", "Landing" and "Shutdown". They don't all have to be on one page, but breaking up into those catagories or something similar would be a good additional bonus for us who by the book :)

I would buy it.

Question is, when would this happen? I need a printed manual, and don't want to pay twice- printing the PDF, and then again buying a pre-printed manual.

Yes, I'll be getting it. I'm curious what it will include though and will it be spriral bound, paper back and will there be any goodies like charts etc.
