Tusky Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) hace 19 horas, Joch1955 dijo: MIL power + salute = take off in MIL AB + salute = take off in AB This is what I do now. My post was only to highlight the fact that after the patch once you salute, the throttle get stuck in the throttle setting you are when you salute and you cannot change it. Once you are airborne, it becomes "unstuck". It wasn't like this before the patch. Edited November 27, 2023 by Tusky 2
Muchocracker Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 you can hit the salute key at any point as soon as you're under tension. When throttle goes to at least mil then it starts the launch sequence. The AB Detent special option was the one causing the bug where it required AB to launch. 1
Ahmed Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 (edited) Not a bug as such, but definitely something to raise as a dubious gameplay decision. For a few updates already, the controls freeze when the salute command is given, until after catapult launch. While the intent behind this may be to simulate that no inputs are possible when the pilot models' hand away from the stick, this can result in very undesired behaviors. For example, if the salute is given with the controls in a "wrong" position, the player will be unable to return the controls to center. This is completely unrealistic. Another example is if a prompt correction is needed after launch, this is also not possible until the pilot model animation finishes and the game allows the player to make any new inputs. In both cases the player may end up crashing, while nothing would prevent a pilot irl from actuating the controls. Please consider reverting this change, or at the very least adding an option in the module settings to toggle it on/off. For those of us that don't use the pilot model, this is just a nuisance. I don't think that a track is needed for this but let me know if you need one. Edited December 23, 2023 by Ahmed 1

CBStu Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Anyone else need to salute twice to get a launch in AB? I have almost always launched in AB so never noticed having to be in AB, but lately I often have to salute twice (I use the comm1 dropdown menu).
chaos Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 AB detent On or Off... If I retard the throttles to idle, after the salute, the engines remain at the MIL or AB power setting. I know... It is a moronic way of doing things but this needs to be fixed pls. 1 "It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage..."
bkthunder Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 On top of that, it's also impossible to start the launch at MIL and select A/B during the launch or just as you leave the deck, as it is often done IRL. Really a stupid decision from ED. 2 Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s

Really a stupid decision from ED. Yeah... i did a small test now and it only open the AB a few secs after leaving the deck and only engine 1, to open the AB in engine 2 i need to reduce/add power so i have AB in both engines (note: i use the special option "AB detent always on"). Muchocracker Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 (edited) huh. I knew about the stick being locked. Never noticed the throttle was. Replicated it myself and reported that additional issue. Edited February 6, 2024 by Muchocracker
