Are there any preview snippets of the "OF GHOSTS AND THUNDER" vinyl? I was not a particular fan of "DEFENDER OF THE FLEET" (that I found on YouTube), so I am not sure about getting it sight unseen as it were.

There is in the Pre Order trailer near the end of which my guess is that is "Kurnass Sledgehammer" as sounds middle eastern

This trailer looks totally amaaaaaaazing.

I'm a 100% warbird enthusiast, but in this time I have to make exception and buy a jet. Don't know when I will fly but will pre order it now immediately

Hopefully one day we will get a Me 163, Me 262 or He 162 like this in DCS🤟

Attach ground power, activate ground air & enable external power. Conduct system checks & prepare for launch.

Time on Target: 24 minutes.

I don't recall if the Phantom requires external power to start or not but I do know it has an internal battery. The Phantom doesn't require external air to start because it can be cart started and I guess we'll find out soon enough if that has been modeled.

It does have an internal battery, but unless you’re flying a RF-4C/E variant you wouldn’t want to use it often! Replacing the battery on a standard F-4 Phantom II is an aft-ejection seat out procedure.

It also has generators to produce electricity and I believe they charge the battery in a similar fashion to a car's alternator producing electrical power while also maintaining the battery charge.

In walk-around mode will I be able to lick the battery electrodes to make sure they are good?

No, but you can go out to your car and simulate it with your battery and tongue

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

Not full price, but full early access price instead of lower pre-order price.

But heatblur ain't razbam. So I hope for a better deal.

Am I remembering correctly that they swerved offering the full discount on Steam because Steam's cut on top of said full discount made it unprofitable?  If that recollection is right then Heatblur may well take the same view.

@IronMike The FAQ said that ED & Steam store pre-orders will be available shortly after launching on the Heatblur store, saying it was “expected in the week following.”

2.5 weeks later, it is on the ED store but still not available on Steam. It seems this isn’t a Steam side delay since the listing has been up, but unavailable, for some time.

When is the Steam pre order expected to go live? Looking forward to this module!

You must have a date to sell a game on steam(pre order or not)

So until they have an actual date for the release of the modual, they can't have it on actual sale on steam.

So it will be "coming soon" until Heatblur, ED, and we actual know when it's planned to be released.

Pre-ordered! Whilst I've always been a red pilot, this will definitely complement all the other DCS-modules perfectly! Curious what she's capable of!

@IronMike One thing that caught my attention; In the pre-purchase trailer, there is a short glimpse of the cockpit, during which I notice that the seat harness-lock has German writing on it. As I understand it, we are getting the US Air Force F-4E variant, with a possible follow-on NAVY F-4 at some point as a separate module. Care to explain the German then? Interior changes based on country selected for the F-4?

Greetings to all of Heatblur, surely a fantastic job and yet another first in the realm of DCS and such a complex project!

Steam need some release date, maybe a vague one like the stalker 2 game is enough, but in the case of the F4 maybe steam push for a more precise one.

Pre order on steam??

The answer to this is the same as the last hundred times it's been asked...  Yes, there will be a preorder on Steam.  No, it is not ready yet because Steam will not approve without at least a guess on a release date which Heatblur is obviously unwilling to give them since the product page still says "Coming Soon"

Addyrazz didn't exactly help by not being explicit.
