The_Chugster Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 So we can familiarise ourselves with it before we fly? 4 1

Max Thunder Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 I am also interested in the HB manual! 2 12700k | 3090 | 64GB DDR4 | WD SN850X | Quest 3

Lobo_63 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Pre-ordered! Looking forward to the HB manual! 5
sniperpr1 Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I hope that it is actually a full PDF manual like the rest of the modules and not an online manual, since I like to take it with me in my tablet. What I like is if you point the updates to the PDF manual with each update... 3

sniperpr1 Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 I imagine so, but I would prefer it not to be like in F-14, in which they only update the online manual. 2
talvikko Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 The manual will only be available to users who have pre-purchased the module? (or will be able to read it before purchasing?)

Zabuzard Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 The manual will be made available before release (to anyone).Like the F-14 Manual, it will come as website primarily. It will also be embedded in the game, as seen in the trailer video.Regarding PDF version, we have to see. Its unfortunately a bit tricky to export it to a PDF 5
Raisuli Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 How about just the pages with the cockpit layout? I'm building new controls for the Multipit and would like to get hud/arm and fuel controls in particular. If they're not mapped that's a bridge I'll burn later, but it would be nice to get it all laid out. It's not stopping me (actually my supply of JST-XH 2.5 8 pin connectors in the problem right now) but that should change soon. 1
Zabuzard Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) I suppose for some of that you can refer to real cockpit screenshots or even to our cockpit shots we shared on media or even from the trailer. For reference, this is the pilot pit: and this the WSO pit: If you got any question what is what, just ask Edited November 28, 2023 by Zabuzard 2 1
Zabuzard Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Since you asked for the fuel panel specifically, you can see it in the trailer (6:44): Majority of the other panels in the Pilot Pit can also be seen. 2 1

One question is the functionality of the switches you can't see in that photo behind the stick. This is not quite the same as the photo you posted, so maybe they don't exist in the version HB is producing? Edited November 28, 2023 by Raisuli 1

The HB model has behind the stick: Pilot Pit: Screen Mode (TV, Radar, Off) Gun Rate (High, Low) Gun Clear Mode (Auto Clear, Non Clear) G-Meter Oil Pressure Gauges Hydraulic Pressure Gauges Pneumatic Gauge Gun Round Counter (with Knob to set) Crank to adjust Pedal Position Missile Reject Switch Shrike Band Selection Switch WSO: Target Designator Panel (Pave Spike) Radar/Screen Panel with Screen Controls (Brightness, Contrast, ...) You can see one half of that in this shot shared by us at some point somewhere: Edited November 28, 2023 by Zabuzard 2 1

Thanks! Love the commonality between aircraft; you'd almost think they're designed to do the same things, more or less. Makes my task so much simpler! 4
Biggus Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Phantom pit-building right now is really hard. Until we get the DSCG bird in our hangars (or at least have more detailed in-game footage), there's too many variables for many of the front seat panels to be sure I'm modelling the correct version of each panel. The AFCS one is pretty safe and doesn't appear to have changed much aside from getting an extra position on the 'engage' switch for 'CMPT STR', and the one with the rudder trim is also relatively consistent. But everything else seems to have a massive range of variations. That panel to the left of the throttle in @Zabuzard's screenshot is the first time I've seen that particular variation. I've seen APU-related switches there instead of the APS-107/APQ-120 switches, and I'm sure on one I've seen the generator master switches there. The fuel panel seems to have been the most common one, it's identical to the one in the F-4G manual. And then I'm sure the DMAS one is going to be different again! 1
