This post kind of belongs in AI bugs section of the forum.

AI warbirds in DCS still tend to do weird things after receiving combat damage and that doesn't apply only to A-8. For example, while watching your first track on my PC, that wingman of yours flew half way back to base while being on fire, with a dead pilot, and then it made a perfect approach and touchdown on invisible landing gear. Bouncing tailwheel did follow, but I'd say it's the least troubling observation in this scenario 😄 . Screenshot below.

Thanks for reporting, though.

yup, experienced this exact situation couple of times in the past 6 months. The frustrating thing is once it starts there is absolutely NO way to stop it and the plane simply flips on its back in the end.

@NineLine fyi, maybe the devs can finally look at this bizarre behavior?

I will take a look, but most likely we will need to review once the new landing gear system is in place that was introduced with the Mossie.

Tacview-20250626-225146-DCS.zip.acmi

Same here at 05:27:45

The energy and amplitude of the tail wheel bounce keeps increasing until the aircraft capsizes. The aircraft was previously damaged but this does not make sense anyway.

And while at it (this Tacview file) the leading of the two twice hit while taxing Spitfires (05:03:41 & 05:04:24) not only do not get destroyed but manages to takeoff (05:05:01).

And finally, the FW 190 A-8 (Falke 3) wastefully shooting the atmosphere at 05:08:14.
