Lt_Jaeger Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 The trimming via trim hat only works (for a "normal" joystick) if the FFB setting in misc (?) is turned off. Tested with linear and non linear setting in special tab. 1
Flappie Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I cannot reproduce your issue in current OB. Can you please attach a short track showing the issue along with your "Saved Games/DCS.../Config/optons.lua" file? ---
Lt_Jaeger Posted January 15, 2023 Author Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) Here you go. I only did FFB ON/OFF with the non-linear setting FFB on non linear.trk Options_FFB-on_non-linear.lua FFB off non linear.trk Options_FFB-off_non linear.lua Edited January 15, 2023 by Lt_Jaeger 1 1
Lt_Jaeger Posted January 15, 2023 Author Posted January 15, 2023 Btw, I did not fly. In the working condition, plane will get trimmed in accordance with the Stabilisator movement. Oviously it won't in the other state.
havebug Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Don't know if this was already reported... I installed this module few days ago for a trial period. I noticed that the assignment for trimming the alieron is inverted: for example if I move the hat switch to the left the aircraft lean to the right and so the other way round pushing right (the animation is correct though)
Cab Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 FWIW I just checked mine and both animations and flight characteristics are behaving correctly 1
havebug Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 I launched a free flight instant mission and after some aerobatics I noticed this behaviour. I'll save some time later on to record a short clip and/or save the track. 1

razo+r Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Make sure your bindings are actually correct and that the game flight mode or whatever is called is turned off in your settings.
havebug Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Issue is confirmed. I have uploaded a video. Please note I have a Force Feedback Joystick and the trim actually cause the Joystick to move in the wrong direction. freeflight.trk
Cab Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Great video evidence. You sold me. I have no idea why it's behaving that way for you. 1
havebug Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Yeah, I guess it must be something wrong with the implementation for Force Feedback centering logic. Obviously a quick workaround is to invert the aileron trim assignment and it works just fine. ...but, It would be nice if developement team could put a patch on this. I'm pretty sure it is not a lot of work...
razo+r Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 People have complained about a faulty FFB implementation since the release of the module. I would not get my hopes up on a fix, as sad as it sounds. 1
Flappie Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 @havebug Please attach your options.lua file (from Saved Games/DCS.../Config). I'll see if I can reproduce the issue. I have a MSFFB2. What do you have? ---
havebug Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 I have a VPForce Rhino FFB PS: I own an old MSFFB2 ( I don't use anymore) that had several issue with FFB (kind of axis swap or similar, don't remember) options.lua
Solution Flappie Posted December 8, 2023 Solution Posted December 8, 2023 OK, I'm able to reproduce this issue with my MSFFB2. It seems to only happen with FFB joysticks (can't reproduce this with my Warthog). I'll report this issue. 1 1 ---

Flappie Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Hi @Lt_Jaeger. Sorry, it's been a year already. I've tried your options.lua and your tracks. I do see you cannot use the trim when FF is on, but as soon as I take control of the track (with FFB set to on for me as well), I can use the trim as usual. Are you still having the issue? ---
audax Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 (edited) Trimming works with my FFB joystick, but left and right are switched. So when I trim to the left and I see the ingame hat tilting to the left, the aircraft is trimmed to the right. It maybe has something to do with the FFB actually moving the stick when trimming. €dit: Never mind, just saw the other thread about this problem: Edited February 9, 2024 by audax 1
