Hey guys,

just checking if there is any support for a F-111 module. And to check if there is something under development that I am not aware of.

Any F-111 supporters here?

I’d just be happy with an AI model.

I’d love to replicate an “El Dorado Canyon” style strike. F-14s for cover, F-18s & EA-6Bs for SEAD, A-6s & F-111s for strike. All late 80s too, so no HMD, L16, Amraam, JDAMs, no GBUs for the Hornets, unless buddy leased from a Prowler, etc etc.

It should be a top 1 priority on AI unit list if we cant have FF. It was a workhorse during Desert Storm and it is basicly the only one that is missing completely in DCS...

I can think of at least a dozen significant aircrafts that are missing from DCS, even two dozens ... how could the F-111 be the only one? 🙄

Becuase Desert Storm was the biggest air combat operation in the last decades and we have almost all of the aircrafts (at least on blue side), either AI or FF, mod or official, but no F-111!  So many historical DS missions you would want to make will be missing a significant part.

And I dont think we need dozens of new aircraft. It is worth to think first, how would they fit in DCS roster, how many people would buy them in the first place...

Sorry, I misunderstood you, didn't realize that you were refering to just Desert Storm aircrafts.

I have to admit, I was skeptical when thinking if I wanted an F-111 in DCS until I just purchased the new one for MSFS that released a few days ago.  Below is a video I shot tonight in VR with what one could look like in DCS.  I flew out of Cyprus.  Really hoping a third party or ED consider this down the road.  This was absolutely one of the best flights I have had in VR with MSFS and wished it was in DCS.  Forgive the near death encounter at the end with someone who was not paying attention to me on final.  Look forward to seeing this forum get a little more love with those interested in the Aardvark.

I'm a bit curious to which planes can't be done in full fidelity but have enough documentation for FC level, and if that can be a viable product.

Yeah, same. I'd take an AI one at this point - we already have its Soviet/Russian counterpart with the Su-24M as an AI aircraft.

And if it's AI, with a little bit of copy and paste and some very minor tweaking, you could also get an F-111E, which at least according to this, the 55th TFS were to use Andøya on the upcoming Kola map as a wartime base.

A pure bomber platform would be a lot of fun and a slightly different mindset, and i've always had a soft spot for the -111.

An F-111 along with the world map is a bit of a dream of mine.

Taking off from Britain heavy loaded. Flying all the way down to a desert country, the looong way of course. Bombing the target with great success. Flying all the way back just to crash during landing so I'll have to do it all again. My kind of phun 😱
