You can probably still go back as far as version 1.7. I haven't had to update any of the files for compatibility since then.

Sorry man, I think I'm not following you here. I see there are 3 versions? The one on user files and the 2 on GD? What are those 2 on GD? Thanks again.

The files on user files and GD are the same. GD also has the low res version. 

User files: bandit648 Weather Mod v2.0.zip (4k textures)

GD: bandit648 Weather Mod v2.0.zip (4k textures)

GD: bandit648 Weather Mod v2.0 - LowRes.zip (1024x1024 textures)

I got that pattern as well on the very first mission I loaded to check out v 2.0  . Murphy's law an all.

Screen below. This is how "Broken cumulus no rain 1" preset looks like when clouds quality is set to "high". What setting do you use on your PC? There seems to be an issue with that single layer only, but it's being used in a couple of other presets as well, isn't it?

I would like to see some presets for typical autumn and autumn/winter presets with visibility, etc.

 

Is weather dynamic, i.e. it moves that at one place weather changes?

That you do with triggers in mission editor and set conditions in Weather panel. You can actually make the fog to move and dissipate in real time.

I'll fix this in the next update. There was another preset that had the same issue.

Nah, good ole' RTX3070 here, so the issue seems to be more "universal". But if bandit is working on a relevant fix, we'll see if it can be solved. Fingers crossed!

Is the mod still working? After the latest DCS update I can't see them in the ME? It seems OVGME won't install them.

No issues on my side.

I just tested a new install after making the archive again. Same result, the EffectTexture.zip hasn't change in the DCS/Bazar/Effects folder.

Do you use any other mod that overwrites the same Effects folder? i ask this because i need to enable the Weather mod last, or, after one of my mods that use the same folder (in my case the Arthur´s Night Sky mod). If i enable the Weather mod first my other mod overwrites the Weather mod files.

If so you need to enable the Weather mod last.

This is just a shot in the dark, can be one of the issues.

I can´t remember anything that could cause your issue besides wrong folder path, or, the mentioned on my previous comment.

Hello there and thank you for your constant updates.

Reading much of the posts in this thread taught me how to use your patterns.

Here are some screenshots of my first try to create a thunderstorm at Marianas map, following those settings from user files descriptions:

To create thunderstorms:

1.) Sel ect NOTHING fr om the Clouds Preset menu
2.) Configure the base altitude as desired
3.) Adjust the thickness to something between 15000-30000ft
4.) You can choose any density setting but I added six new ones. Density 11 - 16 are tweaked for thunderstorms
5.) Choose Thunderstorm or Rain from the Precptns option
6.) I recommend adding a lot of wind and turbulence as well
7.) Experiment with settings to get the look you want and enjoy!

so I added Scattered Thunderstorms 2 preset.

nullNo re-shade no enhancements, no bs!

Don't laugh please, in fact it cames from it. IDK how or why OVGME switched to saved games as I only have 2 mods installed with it, and both in the root folder...
