I've just tried the DLSS 4 DLL and forced the profile to J, I can't really see any difference positive or negative using DLAA over the old V3 DLSS DLL. I did try DLSS briefly and noticed no ghosting, but I'm CPU limited so DLSS isn't going to be doing much if anything I guess.

its still a no go my end picture is still much worse than without dlss, and add movement not even close to non Ai up scale especially in helis.  We need more Raster performance not this

What does it show?

reduced the ghostingon the scan line by quite a bit. New DLSS still can't perfectly draw a solid scan line but much better than old DLSS and no ghosting.

Can you confirm the same difference with the POV at exact same place? Ghosting is highly sensitive on different angles and zoom.

Looks impressive.

I can't seem to find DLSS 4 versions of the dll I can drop into bin.
They were bundled with the latest cyberpunk patch. Theres three of them, you only need one of them for DCS. I'm not going to link them here but they are easy to find with a little Google Fu.

Well I will go update CP and take a gander, thanks!

What will I have to do, as soon as I have the files from the official source 😉 ?

You’ll need to manually update the presets, eg using Nvidia Profile Inspector, as unfortunately it appears that this reintroduced the older presets that were removed in 3.8.10. This means if you do a straight dll replacement with no updates then DCS will use the older preset C instead of E (which you got for free with 3.8.10).

Will we have frame gen with dcs?

ED said that they will look into it and better supporting DLSS 4 once they have made the transition to the Vulkan API.

However, afaik frame generation generally doesn't work in VR.

So preset "E" is the good, it is still part of the downloaded DLSS 4 DLLs but DCS will use C instead E?

I just looked into the NVidia Profile Inspector, I cannot find any references to DLSS.

Profile "J" is the new transformer preset. You need to force it via NVPI and you will also have to add it to the config XML file in order for it to be selectable in the GUI.

CustomSettingNames.xml - the highlighted line needs to be added and selected in the DCS profile in NVPI and it will NOT persist a driver update, so you'll need to reapply.

@Zildac do you have a link to the NVPI?

Is it this one?

https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases

And where is the "CustomSettingName.xml"-file?

Apologies, no, this is the NVPI version I used, you may need to update .NET framework:

https://github.com/neatchee/nvidiaProfileInspectorForkAIO/releases/

The XML is part of the archive, just edit it as per my screenshot, save and then select Profile J. In fairness you could call the profile "SuperDuperDLSS" as long as the hex value is:

<HexValue>0x0000000A</HexValue>

In the archive is no .xml with that name. There is a "reference.xml" but it does nothave any string that includes "Preset".

You've downloaded this version:

nullEdit the XML file overwrite Profile G so it looks like the picture in my first post
