Previously, this place was inaccessible to you, but we have prepared a surprise for you. Get ready for your military trip to Muwaffaq Salti Airbase.
The aviation history of this place dates back to the First World War. It was home to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Belgian Air Component and United States Air Force. Helicopters, transport aircrafts, fighter aircraft, drones - everyone was here.
By the way, we made new unique hangars for this airbase, now your birds will be safe.

Even though the canteen (DFAC) is no longer as tasty as experienced fighters say, the rule of three drinks has been preserved and you will be covered by MFR (the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program). The Internet is available, but may fail, so be sure to take a hard drive with your favorite movies with you.
When you arrive at the location, tell us whether you liked it or not, we tried to provide all the conditions for you.

The thing I wonder about: The base is outside of the area the map covers currently. So that means the map will be expanded to the south a little?

I'm delighted to see this airbase coming to DCS, and in general more of Jordan!

However, can you please clarify how this works out on the map? So you build this airbase, does that mean you've also built the cities of Amman and Tel Aviv? Because flying westbound from this airbase you'll soon cross Amman, and later on Tel Aviv to get to the Mediterranean Sea. Surely you won't have us fly over "nothing" for that entire distance?

Thank you for including this important base. In another thread I asked to be included and there were people who said it would be impossible to be out of the map limits, now I see that everything can be achieved with will. Thanks guys !!!!

Maestro,

Love the 5 new Syria Map airfield expansion to the south.  Can you put some AI parking for C-130, C-17, KC-130, KC-135, B-1, and B-52 on Muwaffaq Salti (OJMS) and B-52 on Incirlik (LTAG) to aid mission creators?

It does seem to run a tad better on a busy server with lots of scripts.  I'll have to checkout the new areas.  Thanks for adding content.

The Syria map is running much better now. Before today's patch, the Instant Action Apache missions in the map were impossible to play. Now, even with textures in high, SSAO, SSLR, SSS, Secondary Shadows and clouds in high, everything runs smoothly, no stutters, few fps drops, running nicely at a fixed FPS. Great work, and thank you for the update.

Syria isn't my favourite map - personal geographic preference -  but it's still the King Kong of quality as far as maps go. Defintely the best made and maintained map for the sim.

 

I felt like I got my money's worth when I bought it, but they just keep making it better anyway.

So I have to ask this because it’s been bugging me for a few days now. Was Amman, Jordan always on this map? I swear I do Not remember it being there. I’ve done a couple of Syria Map Expansion videos for my YouTube channel and one was for Amman airport, which I know was just added but I do Not remember the city being there before. I never really flew this far south in the Syria map since there wasn’t much there (or I thought there wasn’t)! Amman now is pretty big and just flows over the hills like in the Sinai map. It’s pretty awesome! So if someone could let me know I would appreciate it! I have one, maybe two more videos to do for this latest expansion and would like to know so I can say something about it. Anyway thank you! The map looks fantastic!

No, Amman has recently been added!

To my utmost surprise I may add. Al Azraq AB was requested by several people, including me, but I never expected Ugra to also add this massive city.

There have been some complaints in the past in regard to lack of bug solving and response (ahum... kneeboard.. ), but imo Ugra redeemed themselves. This last update was truly impressive if you ask me.
