Tholozor Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Current 2.9.3 build, default cockpit livery as-seen in the ModelViewer. Both left and right side consoles appear to have a glossy, almost wet appearance with a noticeable partition towards the outboard walls when viewed in shadow. 1 2 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/

Crash Master Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Does the a/c you're in have the "aged cockpit" option in settings? Is that what you're seeing?

KLaFaille Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 The other problem that's always been there is the scuffs and scrapes around the edges of each panel. Scuffs, scratches, and other damage like that would glow with the color of the backlighting because the entire layer under the paint acts as a light pipe. A couple of pictures of a real ARC-210 control head I have show the matte texture and backlighting. There are chips of paint missing along the edges by the VHF label, to the right of the OFF label, and under the enter button. Damage like that is covered by brushing on black paint, which you can see in the photos of the AUX LTS panel from an A-10. Hopefully that's something that could be taken into account if / when there's a full refresh of the F-18 cockpit. 1
Atazar SPN Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 Guys, I support your message. How lucky they were that ED didn't move their report to the wish list...

Or are we playing spot the ball There is a line where the textures is changing and having a missing of the PBR ones (I suspect the specular one) making the panels look wet and glossy and not having proper visual as before, for me I can see very well where the line is and where.is the correct texture and where is the weird bugged texture (aka in 95% of the cockpit) 1 My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas Super Etendard for Life !
