joey45 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 98-99% of games in GAME and other similar stores are console games... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Nate--IRL-- Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Thank you - distribution in Germany and France seems to be excellent. The problem appears to be the GAME retail stores in the UK. Spotted in GAME in Dublin today, Never expected to see a retail copy over here. They have one copy left, which I placed a bit more prominently :) (I bought the other one) I now have the Russian, DL and English copies. Doesnt surprise me, as that game store on union street is well, I cant describe what its like on a forum and also game as a whole is scam city. I will check the union street branch at the weekend if you havent done so beforehand viper as I will be in the vicinity. Edited June 18, 2009 by bumfire

bumfire Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 heh, I have seen game trying to sell traded ingames as "brand new", so hikin up prices at game doesnt surprise me one little bit.
Vapour Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Recession? What recession? This sort of price hike is not uncommon here. Nate Well in the city where it's 6.50 Euro for a pint the game is priced about right. You should have travelled over the border Nate, bought the game, then filled you boot with booze and groceries ;). I was on holiday in West Cork recently, the prices scared the life out of me , i'll be back when the Sterling gets stronger.
rooivalk Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Bought a copy on Wednesday in South Africa, pretty pricey but just as essential during a recession as food, drink ect... rooivalk

Georgio Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Bought mine in Game a while ago despite the manager assuring me that there were no copies in the store. I looked on the shelves anyways to see if anything else was out and there was one copy of Black Shark which I quickly bought. I guess that in comparison to PS3 sales, a specialist PC title isn't worth worrying about, why he probably thought it was a game about sharks that swim :)
Squid_DK Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 It is very cheap here in Denmark but prices vary from 259,- DKK to 349,95 DKK. I had to fight an uphill battle with the multimedia superviser in the store I work to be allowed to get the game for the shelves (sims are not underrated by retailers here, they aren't rated) originally I was asked to demand 399,95DKK for BS but I managed to get the price down to 279,95 DKK and still make a profit (The curse of having to go through a local distributor) Staffan http://www.ipms.dk i7 9700K, Asus Z390 Prime A, Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4, GeForce RTX 2080 Ti STRIX ROG, Fractal Design Define R6, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind, Oculus Rift S. 32 GB 3200 MHz RAM

Squid_DK Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Many thanks for the support Danish Squid. No Problem, I have also seen the game at the local Gamestop, unfortunately he can't sell them (He's a Fifa geek) And I enjoy the game hugely myself so if I can even do a little then I have done some! AustinN360 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Bought mine from game online back in april and it took them 13days and two copies to ship it to me as the first on was "lost in the post"! Apart from that I have seen it in the Telford branch of Game but they aren't selling it in my local branch here in Redditch.
