Any target release date?

They can take their time. I rather something more polished and closer to complete then early access. 
 

I mean imagine it releases and ARU switch doesn’t work, Nav drift isn’t implemented, radar has no false targets or inaccuracies, no missile tones and voice for LA, no KMOD, autopilot as bugged as FC3, flare switch doesn’t change release program and can’t set our flare release pattern in ME, SPO-15 missing features such as PD fighters in X category until 15-20 km range where they switch to F, or how the 50/90 degree light only works at close range. What if TWS mode doesn’t automatically select most dangerous target, which would suck since HUD won’t show target speed. Or interaction between radar and IRST is simplified forcing you to relearn it when they properly implement it.

No one forced them to announce a release date. When you promise something, you should keep your word

I always choose quality over fast delivery dates. But when something is mentioned as Q2 and released on pre-order, dates and promises should be honored. Otherwise if ED mentioned Q3 and play it safe it would be fine, because we expect it then. Anything longer than one month after pre-order is a big no no.

It is also marketing, they want to give the best chance for there module to be sold, if they release it today and there is some important feature that are buggy or not working at all, people will complain on the forum, people will make video to say that this plane is bad, and then, even after patching all the issues, people will have fear to buy it because of it reputation, they want to avoid a bad module and it's normal. ED, are in my opinion doing the right thing, complaining about a release date is less important for them than complaining about a buggy module

You are most absolutely right. Except one thing. It is not OK to release pre-order now and release early access 4 months later(summer lasts to 22nd of September).

Btw, I actually preordered first day of release, because I want ED to succeed in this and I thought it was the best way I can do to support. But I really hate waiting past July.

I didn't want to push for a date, just to know whether a release date was published. And yes, I also prefer quality over delivery time.

As mentioned previously we are now looking at a summer release, current pre-order discount is still active, but will change once we get to early access. 

When we have a confirmed date we will try our best to get the pre-order on steam.

True. But I wanted to point out that summer can be 4 months later compared to pre-order release. We'll see.

In my opinion this is one the best modules and one of most important ones in years. I am sure ED is doing their best.

There is something to do in DCS even without the MiG-29 FF, and if you miss the MiG-29 so much, you can always test and have fun with the MiG-29 from FC as part of the initial training ;). This summer may mean July, August, or ultimately September, but I think that the model will appear at the turn of July and August.

Haha that is true. Mig-29 FC3 version was my first love. And flying it since. But now I am more into full fidelity modules like F-16C and MiG-21Bis. Still something drawns me back to mig-29 as my favourite plane for some strange reason.

I think ED is based in Europe. So it was my assumption.
