How many people are taking the 21st of May off work just to download the F4?

Not me! Taking off work for software releases is a fool’s errand.

Pro tip, wait a day or two before downloading too.

MSFS seems to be glorified Google Earth to me. I try it every year or so but it just is not anything more than weird slew mode of satellite photos.

Purchasing ANY combat jet for a civi flight sim like MSFS, P3D, FSX, etc...is a WASTE...you cannot fly them in a combat environment.  The clsoest we ever got to that was FSX@War for FSX, which gave up (I know I was a beta tester).

I wasn't even talking about military stuff. Just flying a little bush plane around in MSFS is a horribly unsatisfying  experience with nothing "simulator" about it.

According to HB, after the release the discount will continue for another 2 weeks, and then probably the full price.

1 week discount, not 2

" we'll be offering DCS: F-4E at pre-order pricing ($59.99) on Steam for the first week of sales."

Usually it was like this:

- Pre Order (before release) -30% of discount from full price

- Early Access (release, but not all systems/weapons arent finished) - 20% discount

- Release of FULL product (no EA) - full price.

I dont know that F-4 will be on "no EA" stage after imminent release, if yes, expect full price I suppose (or discount in limited period).

If I remember right the DMAS upgraded variant won't be available on day 1 so that (plus the whistles and bells that enables) should ensure it'll be in EA for at least a little while.
