Where can I find information about each fuze and when to use it? I looked in the F-16CM manual and couldn't find it. I would like to know the difference between each fuze. Thank you very much!

Wags has a vid on YouTube. My next port of call is to get a screen grab of what each bomb can have and start researching them individually.

Yes, some information would be good to enable getting strarted with these.

Ideally I'd like to see what the fuse settings for each of the weapons shoudl be in order to make them operate as they did pre-patch.  This would be a nice base line to make changes from.

I'm finding CBU87's and 97's pretty useless on default fuse settings, and I'm not even getting them on target at the moment.

For GP bombs:

  • DSU-33 for airburst (currently wouldn't recommend as there's no fragmentation model).
  • Everything else for impact or delayed impact. Delayed impact is better for when bomb penetration is required. Long delays are useful for area denial.

For CBUs: setting shorter function/airburst delays (and dropping from higher altitudes) and setting faster spin rates causes the bomblets to be more widely dispersed (and potentially less accurate). Conversely, setting longer function/airburst delays (and dropping from lower altitudes) and setting slower spin rates causes the bomblets to be more tightly dispersed.

Against infantry ~20m more range

Maybe soft armor too.

Thanks, but this is strange, I think a mod threw my forum post to this one???

The topics were essentially the same.

Thank you for that. But, as far I can see on this page, It's more of the view of someone who wants to disarm the fuzzes, or did I miss a section of this page?

What I am looking for is an explanation when I should use a special type of bomb and with which fuzz, and what settings for the current situation (MK84 Nose or Tail or NT, use Fuzzxy with settings xyz, because of blah blah, and so on).

Wags explanation was more an overview, but we need much more details.

As one can see, the "bug" reports rising because of missing information (e.g., the fuzz was set to low, but even you can do that doesn't mean this setting can work in any way).

Isn't this just the official dcs manual? Seems like it and the manual isn't updated yet. Bignewy said in another thread that only wags youtube video is there as documentation for now. 😐

Hi,

I will ask the team, but before we can document it we need to ensure all our tweaks are in first, for now Wags video is all we have.

thank you

nope. the author could have used the DCS manual as reference i suppose.

definitely not. though as i understand it, there is a dedicated manual writer updating it. i cannot even fathom how long that will take. especially when the WIP AC getting changes every 6 weeks, it seems daunting.
