kotor633 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Hi, What is the status of the revision of a more realistic ATC? I think that ED said a while ago that they were working on it. What is the status of this? 10 ************************************** DCS World needs the Panavia Tornado! Really! **************************************
Furiz Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 I'd love to know too, altho I can imagine it is a huge task. Every airfield is different. And they need to figure out some kind of automation, machine learning model maybe so it adapts. Very hard task to do. 1
ruxtmp Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 I don’t believe this will actually happen. Ai radio use only occurs when you talk to ai. Also the strait of Hormuz map that I have still responds with caucus airport names so I think this wish will be an enormous amount of work that can’t be sold as a module so there is no return on investment.

sirrah Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) I know it's utterly pointless to ask for an update on the status of ATC improvements (I can already hear @BIGNEWY and @NineLine sighing and use their macro controlled answer: "As soon as we have news to share, we will share it" ) But fwiw: I too would really like to know what ED's general goals are in terms of implementing proper ATC procedures and comms. No dates, I understand they can't be given, but at least some general ATC goals they strive to achieve. Playing and enjoying Ground Pounder Sim's "Weasels over Syria" now. And this awesomely made campaign painfully shows exactly that which DCS core is missing, namely: proper comms. I'm really looking forward to DCS' announced DC, but even more am I looking forward to proper ATC procedures, as that is sorely needed to truly transform our beloved game into a "sim" Edited June 23, 2024 by sirrah 2 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
HILOK Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 for me the most important feature missing and mostly anticipated one too, over new terrains let alone new aircraft 3
