@BIGNEWY I'm sure more details will come out as we get closer, but will we be able to bounce from our aircraft to the Air Boss station and back again or strictly able to enter it as a role the same as an aircraft?  I ask because I just had it happen on our virtual squadron server where the carrier started a u-turn just as I turned final on my Case 1 recovery (and ironically it had started to turn and the bounce crunched my gear prior to takeoff for the same flight).  Would be nice to be able to either stop it or check if it was about to turn while in flight.

Is Flaming cliffs 2024 integrated is the game engine of DCS or is it a stand alone product. I remember MAC was stated as standalone.

It's integrated, like the current flaming cliffs. It has nothing to do with MAC.

It's a pack of 9 aircraft for DCS available to be bought as 1 item.

You will also have an option to buy each aircraft separately as single modules.

All of them are DCS modules, not a stand alone products.

Maybe it's time to refresh your memory. Apparently FC2024 is what initially was planned to be relased as Modern Air Combat in Autumn 2018 as a standalone game. That one was to include all the FC3 planes + the ones FC24 will now come with + the MiG-21bis and the L-39ZA. But well, I guess they just went with the easier to do ones now and dumped the trainer for reasons (probably not that popular) and the MiG-21 because it is a 3rd party module and would require M³ to work on it as well.

So not the same, MAC and FC4 are two different things.

When they announced FC4 a few months back the MiG21 was not part of the FC4.

as of the screenshot, there is an option to run the launcher on start.

We’ve been developing several existing DCS-level aircraft with a much shallower learning curve to serve as the foundation to a new IP focused on a more relaxed flight game. Over the past months though, we’ve concluded that now is not the time to create a new IP that is separate from DCS. We’ve announced this today and the change in plans. Rather than dig in our heels on a previous decision, we’ve decided it makes more sense to roll most of these aircraft into a new iteration of the FC series. We understand that the FC series is not for everyone, but rather focused on new players and those looking for a more relaxed game with a much shallower learning curve. For now, we’ve shelved MAC, but it is not dead. There is great potential in such a product, but it would need to take a different path from what we originally planned to be successful." - Wags

I want less launchers running in background taking up overhead or extra mouse clicks, not more. I want to run DCS as it is right now without a launcher at all.

If you look at the screenshot, if you set the "run launcher on start" slider to OFF that's what you're likely going to get.
