Is there any update on this? It's baffling that there isn't a simple game-wide sun visor. This really affects usablity, specially in VR. When it's day in the game I almost always struggle to see my HUD/HMD clearly whenever I'm looking at clouds. I play in VR, I don't wanna mess around with OpenXR and/or Reshade to get something as trivial as this working. Surely it's not that big of an effort to implement this? Falcon BMS has had this simple feature for ages and it's a huge quality of life improvement. There's really no excuse from a technical standpoint not to implement this. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, if you have the same kind of coulds filtering the sun in DCS too... But in RL it is much worse in clear skies, than on this picture.

The animation is there but visor down has no effect.

Visor in 1st person view is reported, its not limited to the F/A-18C there are other aircraft that also need it. We just need free dev time for the task and I can not say when that will be.

Hopefully not too long in the future though: a year ago it was alluded to being "in progress", while now it seems to have moved to "we'll do it at some point".

all work has a priority level, some tasks have a higher priority than others. 

As much as the 1st person visor is going to be nice addition there are higher priority items. But as mentioned it is reported and as soon as the team find a good time to complete it they will.
