FC3 module installation offered after upgrade to FC2024

I bought FC2024 upgrade (had FC3 previously) and installed all the modules, 3 for planes and FC3 that was offered as well - from the launcher. I started the game and there is a (1) badge on the modules button - after clicking, this is offered again:

I tried, it did something, restarted the game - and after a while the badge was back and this dialog appeared again.

Also, FC3 icon in the list of modules is b/w (disabled).

It seems that Flaming Cliffs does not appear as a single "folder" for missions/instant actions and trainings - which is actually the right step. I can see each plane individually, it's easy to distinguish between, for instance, F-86 and FC version, it's better to choose the plane this way instead of the whole FC module and all the missions for all its planes.

It just needs some fine tuning so the module as a whole does not appear at all, or it's just an empty meta-module (with additional wallpaper, for instance!) and it's not bothering us in the modules.

Thanks for 2.9.6. The first moments with the Launcher were without any problems, which seems promising.

Should be the authorization problem of FC3.

I'm not sure, there is no authorization warning, it just keeps informing me I can install FC3 and it is never done.

EDIT: On second thought, it might be the reason - but it doesn't disable the planes because of FC2024.

Same issue. The launcher says I have 5 modules to install but shows none. Then in the game, I got the same issue as the topic creator where it asked me to install flaming cliffs 3.

FC4 questions...
II have FC3, do I need FC4 or just the new planes that have been adapted to FC?
Does FC4 change the rest of the planes that were there all along or are they the same?
Is the only difference between FC3 and FC4 the new plane additions?

I have exactly the same issue. I upgraded to the new FC3 and now FC3 is greyed out on the available modules bar and I get the constant Install FC3 message. Ive carried out a repair to DCS but that made no difference. In th eModule Manager the three new planes are listed as installed as are the Su-27, Su-33 from the original FC3.

I had this problem before late afternoon and i solve it somehow but i bought my FC3 on Steam before î switched to standalone DCS launcher .

After i uninstalled and repair multiples time FC3 without succès i tried to unbound my Steam account  and the licence on thé dcs internet webpage and rebound them . And in place of FC3 licence they have changed it to F-15C,SU-27 , MiG-29 etc and in the New launcher i could reinstall them .

I think it's all about thé licence.

Same issue here as well.  The 3 new planes did show up in the files and installed successfully. Are the old FC3 planes actually updated?  Launcher shows I have 6 updates available but none are listed. The 6 updates would be the original FC3 planes needing update to FC2024.  What changes can I look for to see if the update was successful on the original FC3 planes?

I spent the $9.99 for the FC 2024 upgrade although I already had the full fidelity additional aircraft - just to support ED more than anything. If I go to instant action I now have Cold Start and Cold Start 2 for each aircraft. I assume that the Cold Start is th eoriginal and the Cold Start 2 is the low fidelity version of the cold start. Can anyone confirm?

I'm also having the same problems as virgo47 and many others here after updating my FC3 to FC2024.

I also noticed in the list of active licenses in my profile I have two entries for each of the original FC3 aircraft - one dated probably when I originally bought it and another today when I ordered FC2024

If you want to see how big of a disaster this upgrade is - check the log file.....almost all entries have an error log

Hi ,same as others Fc3 blanked out, 6 updates yet no show up, no training for ac10a or f15(think they were there before?) and keep wanting me to install fc3 over and over.

This is correct. There's no FC3 module now - only separate aircraft. For J-11 check mission editor.

If there is no longer an FC3 module, why does it keep showing that it exists, and that it needs to be installed?... or is it just one of life's little mysteries?

It's a DCS 2.9.6 bug.
