Hi all,

If you have steam modules linked to stand alone DCS please ensure you go to the DCS account page and hit get licences.

If that does not apply to you please do not worry the auth issue is being worked on by the team.

thank you

thanks

A short-term solution: when you start DCS, click on the left button and open files. Deactivate all modules listed in the authentication. Start the sim and then turn it off again. Start DCS again and reactivate the deactivated modules. This should work for all FC3 owners.

Is there any news about a solution to this problem? Thank you.

I have FC3 on a PC and it's working now. To be clear, I still get the prompt that it's available to download, but the individual jets are actually installed and working.

I've long had FC3. I just purchased FC4. All planes activated. I get the install loop as others have mentioned. When I try to fly the FC Mig-15 the game crashes on entering the plane. Every time. I can fly the F-15C with no crash.

I thought that FC3 owners were going to be able to purchase FC4 for $10. Just looked and it is $60. Is this right?

Oooops wasnt logged in.

FYSA I just checked and my Mig-15 FC works without issue

The Mig-15 is the only FC4 module I didn't already own the full fidelity version. All the rest of my FC planes work without crashing the game. Did you already own the full fidelity version of the Mig-15?

Maybe I'll start a trial of the full fidelity Mig-15 just to see if that resolves the issue. Out of curiosity.

Yes, I have all three of the full fidelity modules

Update: My mistake. I have two different DCS accounts for two different PC's. On my account with FC4 I do not have the three FF modules.

FWIW I started the trial of the Mig-15. Installed it. Both versions crash the game, any terrain. I'm not running any third party mods and have done a repair and clean. Oh well, ED will get it sorted out.

Hi Bignewy and thanks for the suggestion!

I did buy these through steam before I switched to standalone.  I went to the account page, and sure enough hitting import found licenses for the individual fc3 aircraft.  Now I no longer get the authorization warning on login, but I still can't use the FC3 planes.  The new launcher --> file --> available still shows a red 5 but doesn't have anything on the screen. When I launch the game, the FC3 icon indicates that I don't have it, and the module manager suggests I need to download it.  Allowing it to download through the module manager just results in the same situation.  I tried running a clean and a repair, but that didn't solve it either.  Hope that information helps in any small way!

Thanks!  Appreciate you and NineLine trying your best, I would NOT want to be either of you guys right before or after any major patch hahanullnull

Has a fix been announced for stand alone? I am not even considering buying FC24 till I have what I already paid for.

It's working for me. Each jet is now listed separately in the instant action list rather than under FC3

Yes, I got too used to that, and kind of the icons are low effort for red modules.

Still was interesting to see different screen backgrounds.

In the launcher. Uninstall the individual modules. Then install them again, and you should be good to go.

Thank you! I will try this when I get home from work. After I uninstall them in the launcher where I install them? The launcher or in game?

In the launcher, you should get the usual notification that modules are available.

I found a solution to the problem.

  1. Deleted FC3
  2. Installed Su27 module

It worked!

I did the same. Uninstalled all FC3 modules, installed them.

Now they're available again.

Did you reinstall them individually or as FC3?

The FC3 aircraft are available individually now for me, though my Module Manager still doesn't understand what's going on and prompts me to install FC3. But when I do, DCS restarts and except for "checking files" nothing happens... 🤷‍♀️

Individually. FC3 doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Interesting. So if I buy the upgrade they are all separate planes.
