Hi all. I love my Crystal and I could never go back to a Flat screen... I have been using Track Ir for about 20 years and a slight turn of my head and I can see my planes six from either side... Even watching DCS YouTube content, you can see TrackIr users instantly check six. In VR, I struggle to check my Flaps in the F86 as an example.

I really want to get back to Online Flying but I would be Mincemeat because my viewing arc is so restricted .......As Chuck Yaeger said " Loose Sight and Loose the Fight ".

Any Tips from VR pilots would be Appreciated ! ~S~

You have only 2 options

swivel chair with something to grip as real pilots do and Yoga/stretching exercise before flying. You'll get good at arcing your back and neck

Try it and see. It's an open XR layer so should be ok. Other open XR layers are fine, such as QVFR and OXRTK.

XRNecksafer has no impact on the checked files in DCS and therefore has no impact on IC ... no more so than TrackIR/OpenTrack/Tobii..

@jaydee Thank you friend for bringing this up!

I've had significant neck surgery due to an auto accident, and I find it difficult just to arm/safe the seat in the Tomcat, let alone check six.

And Thank You @Koziolek for sharing the Necksafer link!

No Falcon, I have 3. XRNS is my third !.

Thanks to all who offered advice to my post ! ~s~ to All !

Guys, I cannot believe the Transformation to the VR experience ! WOW ! ..... Anyone remember using the Joystick "hat" for  Views ?.. Then Track IR came along and we were all Blown Away by just moving our heads to look around .

XRNS is amazing in VR !  I must have been under a VR rock for the past 8 months flying in VR !!  See you in the skies Pilots ~s~

PS . I think Open XR is not being Supported after August 24 ? Check for yourselves ! ...

Necksafer works 100% on mp with no ic issues. I use it everyday.

DCS runs on open XR. It changed from open VR last year. It's here for good.

OpenXR is going to have support for sometime… WMR is not going to have support on Windows 11 from end of August.

OpenXR Toolkit, different from openxr, is currently unsupported by it’s creator as it is feature complete.

Hi all , just want to give you an update on my experience with NS . I love it ! ... BUT

(1) If you remove your Headset and pause DCS, when you come back and recenter your Headset , you may find yourself Outside the Cockpit with your view from the left wing for example.

My Solution :  DONT bind NS Centre to VR Centre ! Use a free button on you Hotas to NS center ! ......When you put your headset back on, centre VR, dont move your head, then Press NS Center !

(2) Stepwise is great BUT I think Foveated Rendering cant Keep up with the fast changing views to Focus on ! Can get very Blurry ! Disorientate for me.

I have gone back to Left, Right Button for checkin 6. ..Works great !

Thanks for XRNS and hopefully I passed on some useful info .

I would like to ask why my VR image is displayed upside down and how I can fix this in XRNS

I have already used this and it worked after that. But when I tried it again yesterday, the picture was upside down again
Do I have to reset these sequences every time?

I noticed a lot of folks in 'ergonomic seats' and game seats, which are modeled to resemble carseats

These things tend to be made to keep you in position, whereas most fighter seats are straight 'wooden boards with some padding', no shoulder, kidney, or lumbar support, no bucket seating

Want more freedom of movement in game seats? Fill up the 'bowl' and straighten the seating out

My haptic cushion in my playseat alone (which I selected because it looked a lot shallower than my previous game seat), allows me to 'turn around the shoulder support' better,

whereas before I had to lean forward before being able to look backwards (on the seat prior, I had to almost lift myself entirely out of the seat to check my six

AF . Try this .  Start Pimax Play....Make sure your headset is on...Don't  do anything yet.....Run Neck Safer .  ....Run DCS...Go to your Planes Cockpit and Centre VR ! Dont MOVE and Centre Necksafer ! ...Hope this helps mate.

Some of us don't have the necks and backs of a 25yo. I have titanium and stainless steel in my spine, not super flexible.

Meta Quest 3, Intel i9-10900K, EVGA 3080Ti FTW3, Corsair 64GB DDR4 3200, ASUS ROG Strix z-490-E Gaming, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M2 NVME Windows 11 Drive, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB M2 NVME Game Drive

Also most VR headsets do not have the full field of view and peripheral vision of your eyes... So even if you are very flexible you will need to turn further in a vr headset than you would in real life to achieve the same view... Headset will have 100-120 degrees in the real world we have what 200 or so

The OP was a request for "VR pilots" if they have any tips
