Razor18 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Hi There, apart from sifting through miles of change logs in recent months, is there any place where you can find the most recent/current procedures the way they are supposed to be done "as of today"? For instance the MIDS startup, the NAV alignment and all other minor things that are just a bit different lately, than it was? Or is the guide updated to all the latest fine tunings and little nuances to avoid or work around little bugs? Thanks for pointing it out...
Tholozor Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) I would recommend the Mini-Updates thread and starting from the latest (e.g. last) post working backwards: Edited September 4, 2024 by Tholozor 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
RyanR Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Honestly, I'd just ask here in the forums when you get in a jam. Keep an eye on the change log going forward. I feel like things have stabilized a bit after some *big* changes in 2024. -Ryan
Furiz Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Yes it should, every change in game should be followed by manual that way it is easier to update F-16 manual, For example SNIPER pod, when it is ready, should be added with manual update about SNIPER pod as well. 1
TobiasA Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) Keep in mind that the english manual is usually somewhat up-to-date while the other languages lag behind, so it might be worth a look into the english manual if your first language isn't English. Edited October 6, 2024 by TobiasA 1
RyanR Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Worth checking Chuck's guides for revision dates. His guides are otherwise the best thing for most modules. I got super frustrated when I got into the F-16 module early this year. There was so much conflicting information on the web, YouTube, and here in the forums. Too many folks on the forum would then tell me I should have simply searched the forum. Thanks. I've finally gotten to a place where I can keep up with the changelog and know what's new, and understand what's changed (for better or worse). The answer here is that, as a community, we need to help each other. Encourage people that there are no "stupid questions", and often we can ask "angry" questions when we get frustrated (guilty myself!). This forum can be really pretty ruthless. ED hasn't done a great job with the manual. But whatever. I've gotten a lot of fun out of this module. -Ryan 1
