Will we ever get the Barzah scientific research centre, the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Center facilities (especially near Masyaf), the Him Shanshar military installation, or the Al Kibar site nuclear reactor facilities?

These are all destroyed. Find another target.

Not all of them. Parts of some are. Some have been rebuilt. Some are indeed gone. If this were the criteria, we need to remove a lot of the map. Thanks for your help.

Hi Fighters

We continue to introduce you to the upcoming map update, work on which is in full swing. First of all, we want to thank you for your feedback: Thank you for this! We are glad that you liked the idea and the new functionality of the map.

The Ugra-Media team is making every effort to make the map even more interesting and continues to take into account the opinions and requests of DCS users. Recently, we expanded the functionality of the map, you asked to add new locations and we did it. Now you have even more opportunities for new flights and missions. Let's take a look at one of the new features:

Hatzor

is an Israeli military base built in 1942 for the British Royal Air Force (hello Normandy 2.0). The Combined Operations Center for the US military and Israel is located here.
It is interesting that the base has simulators for training F-15 and F-16 pilots and the 420th Squadron or "Fighter Aircraft Simulator Squadron" is stationed here - these guys understand us better than anyone.

Hi fighters

Today we continue the story about our update. The words "Main", "most", "largest" best suit this message, and all this applies to our new airfields:
Ben Gurion International Airport and Tel Nof Airbase. These are the main runways of Israel for civilians and military.

A little information:
Ben Gurion International Airport (ICAO: LLBG), is the main international airport of Israel. Situated on outskirts north of the city of Lod and directly south of the city of Or Yehuda, it is the busiest airport in the country. It is located 45 km to the northwest of Jerusalem and 20 km to the southeast of Tel Aviv.

Tel Nof Airbase (ICAO: LLEK), also known as Air Force Base 8, is the oldest and main base of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) located 5 km south of Rehovot, Israel. Tel Nof houses two strike fighter, two helicopter and a UAV squadron. Also located on the base are the Flight Test Center Manat and several special units of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), among others Unit 669 (heliborne Combat Search and Rescue, CSAR) and the Paratroopers Brigade training center and its headquarters
Plan a business trip to Ben Gurion, you will be met there and taken to Tel Nof to get acquainted with the new territory 🫡

List of changes:
- Added new airfields Ben Gurion, Hatzor, Palmaсhim, Tel Nof.
- Optimized models of small objects.
- Improved models of Airbus A300 and An-26 airplanes.
- Improved min textures on the texture of the ground and objects.
- Improved two military bases with helipads.
- Improved refinery scene south of Palmashim.
- Added new terminal models and Ben Gurion tower.
- Added Airbus A300 and An-26 airplanes in the airfield scenes of Deir ez-Zor, Latakia, Marj Ruhayyil, Nejrab, Beirut, Damascus, Tabqa, Ben Gurion.
- Added destruction models for original objects: Bank of Cyprus, Beirut SkyGate, Limasol KEAN Factory, Paphos Terminal, Sheraton Adana Hotel, Dam Ataturk, Dam Tishrin, Ben Gurion terminal.
- Fixed bugs in Akrotiri Paphos airfields
- Fixed bugs in terrain and scenes of veon bases.
- Fixed bugs in terrain, vectordata and common scenes.
- Fixed a bug with the collision of helipads on the roofs of the Bank of Cyprus and Sheraton Adana Hotel.
- Fixed license plates on cars and inscriptions on buildings.

Hi🫡
Today will not be an ordinary review. I want to show you a video created by our team of testers Ugra-Media, for which we are very grateful. This is the first experience of creating videos, we wish you good luck and look forward to new works.
By creating this video, we wanted to draw the attention of users of the Syria map to the new features that appeared on it in the latest and upcoming updates on October 30.
Among them, we first of all want to highlight the new Israeli airfields Ben Gurion, Hatzor, Palmaсhim and Tel Nof. The appearance on the Syria map of more than 100 military bases and helipads. The ability to destroy most of the original objects, including the tolls on the Euphrates. And hundreds of other improvements that we added to the Syria map.

Great job and detailing. However just for the sake of realism concerning Beirut Airport at least, there are several A300's with different Iranian operators' liveries as part of the static scenery, and that's not really accurate. The local traffic would rather be the national flag carrier of Lebanon -MEA- which is the main operator at the airport (even more so during these times). Another new item is a military Radar placed between runways 16 and 17, which also isn't there in real life. I've created a static civil aircraft scenery that mimics its real counterpart, with custom made liveries that I would be happy to share (they work with the civil aircraft mod)

This is nuts.

Syria is my go-to map, pretty much has been since it was released.  Ramat David was my primary southern base.  When Sinai came out I flew it for a while with Tel Nof as the northern base (Ramat David is just dirt; you can see the outline), but I came back to Syria.  Afghanistan I think got used once.  Iraq...we'll see.  No idea how many years it will take to get those baked; Syria is game ready.

At the rate they're developing this map I don't see any competition on the horizon.  Every kind of terrain imaginable, no shortage of bases (no geopolitics on my maps, so everything is fair game), endless possibilities.

Flew around some helo bases south of the grid at the north end of the Dead Sea tonight (first time I've flown any sim in about three months.  First landing I put an AH-64 within a couple feet of where my eyeball was pointed, second time I put it on a helipad.  This has never happened before.  Ever.) and realize Jerusalem has the urban infrastructure in place.  This is all OFF the bloody map, so now I wonder if they're going to extend the grid south.

Tel Nof?  I know there was a guy building models for Tel Nof to correct the errors when Sinai was released, and I can't wait to see what gets done with it here!  Screenshots look really nice!  New southern base.  Carriers to the west.  Bad guys wherever they happen to be, R&R in Beirut, exploring the ruins at Palmyra, exploring the old town at Acre...what is there to want?

Syria map is a wonderful playground for DCS, thanks Ugra for all the updates and enhancements ☺️

Having said that, is there a reason/limitiation why the goals on football fields are way too big (around 5x bigger than they should be in real life) ? It breaks the immersion a bit when I land a chopper on one of those, especially in VR 🤔

Thanks for the video and your work  - while the map looks great the video does not do it justice. The stuttering and smearing on any movement is off putting.

Yep.   @MAESTR0Get rid of the Motion Blur.  Also make sure you are doing your video capture at 60 FPS no need for anything higher because YouTube is what it is. Good luck.

It's honestly amazing what Ugra has done. Only thing I wish now for this map is for it to be much more green, especially in the northern parts and around Bassel-Al Assad like IRL.

Nice update. Those screen shots made me remember there are no AI T-62s in game, so it was a surprise to see them even as props.

I believe this area is new? Nice set up, a lot of these places make for nice mission settings. Just placed some vehicles and helis around for a quick mission.

You have added lots of new Heliports (thank you) however but they do not have unique names they are all just "H", this is causing some issues with mission building scripts.

Is there ANY way they can be given a unique code, even if its only H1, H2, H3, just to make them referenceable?

This map is fast becoming my squads "go to" map for our weekly flying and missions.

Visit the Dangerdogz at www.dangerdogz.com. We are a group based on having fun (no command structure, no expectations of attendance, no formal skills required, that is not to say we can not get serious for special events, of which we have many). We play DCS and IL2 GBS. We have two groups one based in North America / Canada and one UK / Europe. Come check us out.
