Basic stuff, takes a minute surely, but does help. Can you make sure the records are correct, as when we start looking back and tracing when things changed its not ideal. Also note my other recommendation that campaigns get given their own page on change notes (its not like it was even a year ago, so many campaigns now its going to get laborious real soon to drill into core/module updates when testing. @BIGNEWY 2 patches later despite you saying they would be added, Why are still Heatblur patch notes still not added to the month's main patch - why is this so hard to do, why does it feel like sucking blood out of a stone. I'm going on about it (when i shouldn't need to) because its a PITA searching through forums and want to see what was changed when. Can you confirm someone in Moscow, or one of the locations is actually going to do this, or would it be better for me to post it on the russian forums? Please keep sending crashes when able, it helps us determine and prioritize fixes, Thank you!) > Fixed: crash that was induced by some modules using custom effect presets. Do you have any additional details what modules were impacted or what these "custom effect presets" are? I was trying to troubleshoot excessive crashing last Sunday, and would love to be able to associate them with this fix. My DCS is normally pretty stable, but it crashed 6+ times in an hour span with dxbackend.dll which has not happened in a long time for me. Thanks, 1

Qcumber Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Just to feedback that performance in VR is a lot better since the November update. GPU and VRAM are not maxed out. I am finding that CPU use is much greater across all cores. I am using VD and QVFR with Quest Pro. 2 1 5800x3d: rtx4070: 64Gb 3200: 1Tb NVME: Pico 4: Rift S: Quest Pro
AKULA_OPTIMUS Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Still no hotfix for Syrian paid campaings? Its been almos two weeks and right now they are broken products, looks like ED doesn´t care, considering they´ve been fixed for days by their authors. Why the wait, so you can include it in the next general patch? Why not a simple hotfix instead of let them be unusable? 1

You will need to be patient a little longer, we will not be able to hotfix, but hopefully the next patch with tweaks wont be to long. thank you 3 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? But we shouldn´t be doing those things, specially since there is no Open Beta anymore. I´m just complaning about the long waiting for a problem that´s already been fixed internally, more if that bug makes the product unusable. 5 2
Moxica Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I was very positively surprised with this update, as I experienced both better sharpness/clarity AND performance. Ghosting was completely gone. Just recently I realized DLSS was turned off, and "Rez of cockpit displays" was set to 512. H*ll yeah! I'm keeping those settings! Afraid I'd have to go through another adventure of trying out a myriad of settings. Placebo's included. As long as MS offers security updates for 23H2, there won’t be a problem. 24H2 is a feature update, no-one is forcing you to install it. You can use the registry or group policy editor to prevent 24H2 from ever installing. 2 Spoiler Ryzen 9 5900X | 64GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X570-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 960Pro 1TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero Pro Flight Trainer Puma | VIRPIL MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | Virpil CM3 throttle | Virpil CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | TPR rudder pedals OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings

(..much about the MS update policies) But I for one already have a bug related to the dwm.exe and mixed reality, crashing after I've played DCS. Not a big deal, just annoying. Also, I have a sound challenge due to using two audio units; One USB-C "Audient" for nearfield speakers, and the other (onboard) for headset on HP reverb. This is another small nuicance every time I start portal/DCS. Dcs does not remember my external audio interface. I am getting frequent errors about connecting/checking the USB-C cable for the HP's.. Aaaand I am curious about the Pimax. Also anxious about PC performance on those. I also got some insurance pay back for an iPhone i dropped, and.. Oh.. I am babbling now. But, but that was a lot of money I spent. I'm obviously more anxious than I knew I was.. Thanks. Sorry.. My own Reverb G2 died a few months back, and not too long after I started getting those errors myself, the headset completely died. So in that case it might not be a bad idea to start looking for a replacement.
