fixed F-5E Remastered FPS issue after the last patch?

i have tried the F-5E after the patch.

 

I get HUGE stutters after the game in unpaused. I can see high CPU usage at half second interval. something is seriously effed. as soon as I pause the game, my FPS get back smooth as silk, 144 fps capped.-

Something actually happened to the performance of F-5E Remastered. FPS dropped by half. Both outside of the module and in the cockpit. Example test with Phantom - external F-4E 220 FPS, F-5E - 120 FPS (and we're talking about 8k ft flight), cockpit the same, F-4E - 210 FPS, F-5E... 110 FPS.

I've just checked in VR. F-5E Remastered has become completely unplayable on RTX 4090.

Strange, after 3 runs DCS (1 2D, 1 VR and 1 VR) is ok with F-5E Remastered. So it seems that the first run (despite clearing shaders) causes some FPS problem. If you see something like that, run DCS again.

Edit: Unfortunately, there is a problem. I start DCS and F-5 again and the FPS drop is huge again. Something happens randomly when loading F-5E. I attach the Track when I had a significant drop in FPS, although I don't know if it will help.

Here it was ok (test5 - no FPS issue), so you can compare both tracks. 

I have the impression that the problem occurs randomly, sometimes it is ok, sometimes it is not. I have just started 6 other modules in the same situation. Everything is ok, no this huge FPS drop, so I assume it is the F-5E unit.

Thanks for the effort! Do you confirm that subsequent sessions are free of the performance hit?

Tracks are always good but I don't think they contain any original session performance metrics.

EDIT:

Guys, try clearing:

Saved Games/fxo

Saved games/metashaders2

Windows shader cache

 

... then running at least two sessions 5 minutes or longer.

From 40 in VR on other modules I went to 10 in the F-5e "remastered". 
I didn't had it before last patch so I don't know how it was before.

When starting for the first time on Syria map free flight the cockpit was fully loaded but before I hit fly the FPS looked normal in the 40+. When I hit fly... gone. 10-12FPS

Same if jet is powered down on ground. FPS is in the bin. Caucasus, Syria Mariana... same.

I cleared the caches (DCS ones, nvidia shader cache) and did few flights on different maps. So far the issue is not showing again. I will test some more to see if it holds.

I hope the issue is quickly and easily resolved. I just got my Pimax Crystal Light yesterday and hope (or hoped) to set it up in DCS today. External FPS issues won't make that task any easier.

It's not just the remastered F-5, this track shows the problem consistently in the old F-5 as well.

Track replayed with a locked 72fps with lots of overhead before the patch dropped yesterday. Now it will dip below 20, showing a hard sim thread bottleneck.

If I edit the track and replace the F5 with any other jet, no problem.

Also remains happening when you move to external view.

If I owned it I would check the FC4 F-5, incase that doesn't exhibit the same behavior.

Might help narrow down the problem if it doesn't.

Yes v2,  previous patch it was awesome like as always, but after last update fps is horrible.

After the last patch in DCS, I confirm that the F-5E remaster's FPS dropped half from 72 FPS (locked 72 Hz Quest 3) to 35-50 FPS. As Yoyo wrote, f5 remastered it is now unplayable. Other modules in DCS are fine.

with the f-5E (upgrade) i now get 8 fps (where i used to get locked 60 with other modules). on sim pause it goes back to locked 60 (frame limiter).

Same here, the graphics look horrible, LOD changes (when zooming) go very slow. Everything is stuttering. I'm in the middle of my Black Sea Resolve campaign and I just can't play anymore.

On pause FPS is restored. Reinstalling the module did not help

I just came here to see if I was the only one with this problem. Apparently not. I am getting less than half the FPS I get in the F-4E. I am guessing that something got broken when they added new effects and/or fixed the hatches opening/closing.

I came here looking to see if anyone else had the same problem with yesterday's patch and the remastered F-5E.

My FPS issues in VR were far more dramatic. I went from smooth 45+ FPS on the ground (in an F-16) to something like 2-3 FPS.

On our multiplayer server (which I think is a bit of a CPU hog as it is), I went from probably 24+ FPS to literally a frame every 5-10 seconds. I thought the game had locked up.

 

I did not have this problem before yesterday's patch. However, I did clean my caches before running.
