Not mentioned in today's release notes, but I have feeling that FM is much more stable now.

Seems erratic and fluttery...ball is jumping all over the place  on cold war map...not behaving as it should IMO

No changes were listed in the patch notes. What exactly is supposed to be more stable?

I cannot confirm this after the current patch. It is still very unstable in the yaw channel and the error pattern is still there.

As long as there is nothing in the patch notes, I think the impression is rather subjective.

This is a shame, and the "w.i.p." tag and ED response are offensive, should be changed to "l.o.l." to suit it better.

Nevertheless, I have reverted back game version to before this rejected-as-bug bug was introduced and it's so much better.
I have created a mod for you to download and enjoy hovering Apache in most recent updates (untill it gets repaired by ED in two weeks), OvGME ready for main install, or unpack and overwrite yourself: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344365/

Changes were in the FM/config.lua file, I have compared and below is all that was changed, if you are curious and maybe just maybe ED will find time to look at these 3 lines when producing hotfix to mission critical disability of switching Laser on/off introduced yesterday.

2.9.13.6818.2 - 05.03.2025:

425: pitchHold_K_wz = 0.3,
441: altHold_pitchRefAdd_max = 0.0,
442: altHold_alt_loss = 5,

2.9.14.8222 - 19.03.2025:

425: pitchHold_K_wz = 0.6,
441 and 442 removed
added in 441: holdSwitchPeriod = 2.0,

Just a reminder, please ensure you are pressing and holding the trim until the adjustment is completed, it does seem to be catching many people out.

This requirement and it's effect is WAY MORE obvious to the FFB users, and even me, used to the FFB, but forced for last year to fly with central trim on spring centered base was pretty tough to keep as routine for helicopter steering, so I am not really surprised, that so many people has problem with Apache stability as I assume, there's still plenty of the pilots between us using spring centered joysticks.

So not a bug, still? As indended? This is so ridiculus I regret literacy today. Every time I try to reinvest myself in DCS something like this comes up and kills all my passion.
Thankfully my mod works, so why do I bother. Good luck holding your trims.

Forgive me if I get my acronyms wrong, but what we are discussing (complaining about) here is the way the Yaw Channel of the SCAS is behaving when it is trying to help control the yaw of the aircraft.  When you hold FTR for significant maneuvering, you are disabling (or at least reducing) the assist the SCAS system is providing, so of course you won't see the problem while you are holding FTR.

What we are seeing (feeling) is overcompensation in the yaw channel when making small adjustments with the pedals while not holding FTR.  For example, while rotating the aircraft to a new heading while in a hover, with ATT Hold enabled.

We understand dont worry, and we have been discussing this exact point internally. We want to make the experience good for you all and the team will be taking another look.

DIsagree. At first I did think something had changed for the better but wishful thinking on my part. That instability is still there and creeps in if not ready for it. Thing is - in my experience - there appears to be no 'constant' - one minute there can be a small deviation and the next it amplifies itself.

Have downloaded @Qnnrad hotfix so will give it a go. Thanks to @Qnnrad for doing the research.👍
