Art-J Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Immediately reminded me this : The field on the map is probably intended for the same purpose... just for tanks and APCs (you know, Cold War and stuff) . 1 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

cfrag Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Then again, everyone seems ok with knee-deep grass on the field... So much for regulation football (not "soccer", yanks, real football! What you call "football" is simply a candy-assed, dress-up version of rugby)... 2
drPhibes Posted May 17 Posted May 17 The fields are the right size (approximately 100x65m), but the goals might be a bit oversized. 1

The "grass" object has to pretend to be a multitude of plant types depending on the texture underneath; this same object stands in for wheat or barley on crop fields and neatly mowed grass on football fields and airfields. To be fair I think they've managed to strike a plausible balance.
Nealius Posted May 23 Posted May 23 The thickness I can deal with, the tallness though is an issue, particularly on grass strips that should be cut much, much shorter.
