According to my experience, there are usually 2 sets of PRMGs installed at an airfield. Only one of them is turned on, depending on the active runway. This is very similar to ILS.

Yes, if stationary. If we'are speaking about mobile PRMG group it is not always the case. They might be assigned to specific airfield or even to a part of the highway  when needed. And there might be a lack of them to have a runway covered from both sides at the same time.

...or, a thought: make a PRMG group that you can latch onto the runway instead of doing all the script and draw acrobatics to get them into the right places.

I can't get this to work, I place the required units as specified, their location, heading, channel # etc, pick the same channel in cockpit but I still can't get landing bars to turn on... I don't know what I am doing wrong?

As I see in your mission the beacons are switched off. Activate the beacons as described in the opening post of this thread.

Is it possible to post a sample mission (for the MiG-29) with beacons installed (for different landing courses) and the data cartridge filled in? Thank you.

oh I see now why it wasn't working, thank you for checking my mission and seeing that units beacons were not activated and now I see why... stupid me was adding the beacon activation command under Trigger tab instead of Waypoint tab (DoH!).

I edited the mission and got it working now.

Oh, great, after testing this just now I can see that you can place RSBN Glidepath and Localiser cars on both ends using same channel # (they use same RSBN PRMG Car to generate beacon), which is great... also I tried putting Glidepath and Localiser in same group (as they share the channel) but then only 1st unit work and the 2nd doesn't, meaning each unit has to be on their own, not part of a group.

Just for clarity and avoidance of confusion.
RSBN stands for nav system beacons, like VOR/DME or TACAN.   For instrumental landing guidance PRMG beacons are used.
