In reality, the beacon group does exactly the same. Though, it doesn't happen very often. According to my experience, there are usually 2 sets of PRMGs installed at an airfield. Only one of them is turned on, depending on the active runway. This is very similar to ILS. They might be assigned to specific airfield or even to a part of the highway when needed. And there might be a lack of them to have a runway covered from both sides at the same time. 3

Kuky Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) I can't get this to work, I place the required units as specified, their location, heading, channel # etc, pick the same channel in cockpit but I still can't get landing bars to turn on... Is it possible to post a sample mission (for the MiG-29) with beacons installed (for different landing courses) and the data cartridge filled in? Thank you. Мои авиафото

I edited the mission and got it working now. Kuky Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Oh, great, after testing this just now I can see that you can place RSBN Glidepath and Localiser cars on both ends using same channel # (they use same RSBN PRMG Car to generate beacon), which is great... also I tried putting Glidepath and Localiser in same group (as they share the channel) but then only 1st unit work and the 2nd doesn't, meaning each unit has to be on their own, not part of a group.
