Enable Garmin NS430

How do i enable the Garmin NS430 in the cockpit? 

I have both module NS430 and MiG29 NS430 implementation. 

In the NS430 options tab the MiG29 integration is enabled but in the training lesson it doesnt show up...

Maybe even make this possible in the rearming menu? It's just some screws and power/antenna cable, right?

Yeah thnx for the reply @Wags. 
Like @MAXsenna proposes seems a way more pilot friendlier way of enabling it through the rearm/refuel window ingame. 
Or a second option like the IR exhaust system on the Mi24 through the groundcrew radio command menu.

My guess is, they don't want CW scenario with GDR rockin' NS430 to fight the Phantoms. 

They could always put it in loadout restriction, but I know you know what I mean

I purchased the NS430 base module along with the MiG-29A NS430 add-on module. 

Inside the Special Options tab under NS430 I have checked both the MiG-29A Fulcrum tab and the 3D-view enabled tab under MiG-29A Fulcrum.

To test, I tried unchecking each tab individually but my settings don't persist. When I go back into the NS430 Special Options tab they're both re-checked.

The NS430 is mounted and working in the Mi-8.

The NS430 pop out window is working in other aircraft like the UH-1.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Make sure both the base NS430 is installed and the Addon for the MiG-29A

Then make sure its selected in the Mission Editor

Thnx for the explanation still think this is NOT user friendly. 

I personally expected i could add it through the rearm/refuel window or the grouncrew comms....

I think it would be nice if with the NS430 for the Mig-29 you get a few missions where it is already equipped. This could be instant missions, user missions or even training missions. 

I think some people don't use the mission editor at all.

Thats what im pointing at same goes for when i play online i wont be able to enable it while its should be a pilots choice like the IR Exhaust modules on the Mi24.... 

We had to wait ages for that option to be added to the groundcrew radio commands.......

I'm guessing those might come later in the development process - at the moment we only have 2 training missions and 8 instant action missions in the Caucasus so there's a lot more missions likely to be delivered.

I just bought the NS 430 because of the MiG 29, and I have to say that it's a really well-made GPS navigation system. The only thing I'm wondering is whether it's possible to hide the integrated GPS model somehow? I mean the physical model that's in the cockpit. It does get in the way a little bit

I know how to show or hide the NS430 in the window with shift+alt+b

Go to options and then select the NS430. There you can select and unselect where you want the module to be visible in the cockpit on modules that allow it to be integrated.

But I want to select one of the prebuilt missions in the main menu, in that mode you cant access to the editor to enable the NS 430. Look,what ED did was a bad idea, the option should be activated via ON/OFF in the special tab in the options menu! thats all!

 

It doesn't work in INSTANT ACTION, nor in QUICK ACTION GENERATOR, and is not be visible in MP missions if the creator has not activated the NS 430 either!

For whatever reason, I'm not able to have my NS 430 show as a 3D addon in the cockpit...

 

What's weird to me, is that if I go under "modules"-section, where one can see which ones are bought and activated, I do not have the "NS 430 Navigation System for MiG-29A Cockpit". Yet, if I go to the "Special"-tab under settings, I have both the "NS 430 for MiG-29A" and "NS 430 3D model in MiG-29A" (both hooked off (as in, "ON")). I can also verify that in the mission editor, I have the option for "Allow NS 430 in cockpit" set to on for the specific MiG-29A. In other words, all three requirements are satisfied for it to show, yet it doesn't for me. 

 

Did I miss something? Is the 3D model of Garmin a feature to come, or is it already in?

 

EDIT: Fixed, apparrently DCS showed that I had the 3D module for MiG-29A, even though I didn't... After purchase, all works as expected.

I’m so confused!! So I purchased the NS430 module, I guess you guys call this the “base” module and I have the checkbox checked in the ME but it doesn’t show up? So in reading here do you have to purchase another Addon for the MiG29A? If so where is it? I looked under Other and in the Planes and cannot see an option to purchase this if needed. Thank you and sorry I’m not understanding this whole thing. Thank you

Okay I got this figured out. I did not know you had to purchase this separate with each module. Got it now and it works. Thanks anyways
