It's been fun all these years hanging around and salivating over screenies. This community is the best, and dare I say, ED sims attract the most diverse and knowledgeable bunch of sim junkies. Admit it, the lot of you eat military encyclopedias and aircraft grade rivets, then wash those down with jet fuel. :D

Anywiggle...I landed a hotel job in an Island way south of Thailand and I'm leaving in a week or so. I'll find out exactly when comes Monday. I'm happy I got this job because it's a five star hotel which means an opportunity to make serious money. The majority of the guess on this Island are Europeans and I hope u guys tips well. :D The bummer is, I gotta leave my four-year-old daughter with her grandmother in Bangkok. I have raised her on my own since she was six-month-old, so this really gonna suck.

As for my scripts, my stupid comp died so I have to get a new one and revise them before I send them out.

peace

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Just had a chat with an Aussie friend who owns a bar there and was told the tips will be great. He told me the place is a little hide away for some Hollywood stars. HAHAHA :D

I'm off to the island tonight. Leaving from Bangkok and heading south, takes fifteen hours to arrive at the town (by train) and from there, a couple of hours by bus to the boat dock then another hour boat ride to the island. Yippy........

Here's google map of the place.

Well, I'm off to paradise - hopefully, next time I logged in DCS A-10 is already shipped. :D

As a Diver, I am very tempted to visit you! Please let me know what the diving is like.

The diving here is splendid during the high season which begins in November and lasted til April. It is raining season in this region right now but on a good day, the water is very clear; I'm told it gets even better than this in a couple of months. However, I'm also a certified diver and I'd highly recommend Similan Islands which is about 30+ miles from the shore. I went diving there about eight years ago and I can tell you for a fact that it is absolutely serene.

I did a liveaboard on The Junk with some other divers from the U.S. and one of them, a dentist, told me that he went diving all over the world and he rated Similan Islands at the very top of his diving list. There were plenty of sealife to ogle at - big and small. Go the right time and a whale shark awaits you. :) I don't work for The Junk and have no affiliation with them. It is not even located in this province but several hours from here. I just love it very much and will do it again in a heart beat if I could afford it.

As for the hotel I'm working at, I've never seen anything like this - serenity is at its best here. The view from the Pool Villa is breathtaking even when it rains. One of my jobs is to pick up guests from mainland and bring them to the hotel which is about two hours. A couple I picked up was complaining about the long drive (they didn't know I spoke English at that time) once at the hotel, I could tell the wife was really irritated but their mood changed after I drove them to their villa. I'm talking instant change as soon as I opened the gate and they saw the view. This place actually looks better than the pictures. The same couple told me this morning that a monkey and its baby walzed into their entertainment villa while they were watching a movie, took some cookies from the coffee table, hung around a bit before leaving. They loved it and I love animals so that story really tiggles my fancy. :D

Damn, I sounded like a salesman. I'm not. I just love natures and this place really knocked my socks off.
