How about a highly detailed DYNAMIC campaign instead of a plane?

You already have a good dynamic campaign (for which not everybody can afford the time through it) with plenty bad graphics, bad flight modeling in F4 series. Time for something new.

Must be pretty simple to make a DC. When you get it finished please share it with us. :)

No questions asked, hands down I think DCS/ED would definately make a killing if they did DCS:F-16.

There is already a huge community waiting for a stable/realistic simulator for this airframe from pit builder's to the entire falcon community. Even with the future release of the mysterious BMS "Super Open Falcon" I don't think making the decision to do the next module as the F-16 would be a bad choice. We have A-10C now with the release of the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, and we already have Thrustmaster's Cougar (F-16 Replica HOTAS) as well as Thrustmaster MFD's. I would be very surprised if DCS made the mistake of not providing the community with a quality F-16 simulator. You can't go wrong from a marketing perspective, this will be the biggest thing since DCS:A-10. Also with the unclassified data available for the F-16, as well as multi-role Air to Air, and Air to Ground capabilities this would be a great addition for the next DCS module in my opinion as well as a HUGE amount of other fan's of the F-16 worldwide.

I guess we'll see the next DCS aircraft announced pretty soon, seeing as we are getting closer and closer to the release of Warthog :)

And yes, I am crossing my fingers (and toes) for an F-16 ;)

You can get DCS:A-10C now for pre purchase. I have it as well as alot of members of the SCSimulations community and it's great!!!! I can't wait to see the progress of the beta evolve until the final build is done. I have to say Mat Wagner and team have done an excellent job on this sim. I can't stop flying it and I have been very impressed with this since I bought the pre purchase. I would love to have the F-16 in the same detail with the next release especially with the new Nevada terrain would make for some great Red Flag!!!

Bad flight modeling is true.

Bad graphics? It's 11 years old, it's build on DX6.

Avionics are the best out, even 11 years later, and it is the most successful combat flight simulator ever released to public.

What's the deal with embedding Dynamic Campaign in DCS series. I think that's a key part in the simulator rather than flying pre-planned (dumb) missions.

A DC is not that easy to make...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

The avionics have been getting updated for over a decade. See the original F4 and tell me how good those avionics are. Don't pretend like it wasn't free development for A LONG FREAKING TIME that saved falcon. And don't pretend like the company that created it didn't go bankrupt, either.

F4 is good because there was a huge effort put into it for a huge amount of time post-release, and illegally at that. It is an exception, nothing more. ED is showing you what is achievable commercially ... without breaking your own neck trying to do it.

The deal is that they could slap a DC on today and it would suck. There is a whole lot more to making a good DC than just 'slapping a DC on'. I'll let you think on it :D

And actually I don't see what your problem with pre-planned missions is. DCs are fairly dumb in their own right.

Now we have nice Red Flag terrain we need a Harrier and Tornado also :music_whistling: Il settle for F-16 though of course, all in good time

Has anyone considered that ED doesn't even have a plan for a next module? A-10C came about because they had highly accurate information from the US Air Force Reserve/Guard. If ED doesn't have in depth info or a new sim contract that grants them access, they really can't make a new DCS module yet in the fidelity needed. All I know is A-10C will keep me busy for a long time!

ED might not have a 'plan' as to which aircraft to do next yet, but they do have material.

Let's hope not. That behind enemy lines documentary I saw with Owen Wilson shows how poor of an aircraft it is. Could not evade a SAM. The sam did have a very long engine ignition though.

LOL, I thought the F-18 did well, after all it was almost as fast as the SAM

You dare mention the words 'Owen Wilson' and 'Documentary' in the same sentence?
