It will take a bit more time than I thought, text is badly scanned so Adobe Acrobat's OCR doesn't recognise it properly.

I will make a smaller size PDF for on-screen reading, so I will also rotate the "landscape" pages for easier viewing.

A-10 Flight Manual

Small file (25MB), cleaned background, with all chapters and sub-chapters bookmarked:

A10A Flight Manual OCR2.pdf

I had a lot of problems with OCR, so the text is "kind of" searchable, there are many mistakes in text, so I kept jpg format for pages. If you want to quote a text from it just select and copy it - there's a transparent text overlaying the picture.

It isn't perfect but it's usable for reading on screen, without the bookmarks the manual really looks messy.

It took a lot more time than I expected... Specially charts at the end, bookmarking that was a bit masochistic. :P

Is there a V-speed sheet for the A-10A/C? I can't find it in the flight manual (though I didn't search for that long, I couldn't find it in the usual POH location.)

Never made republics connection to the A10 and P47 until now (my bad). I'm actually partial to the thunderbolt 2 name vs the warhog now....being a big fan of the p47. )

Maybe you know this documents, but for sake of completeness they are mentioned here.

2 docs with lots of useful stuff:

F-16 manual with tons of graphics: Flight formations, Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, Air Refueling,...

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/docs/16v5.pdf

Close Air Support doctrine. Lots of schematic diagrams.

http://www.fas.org/irp/doddir/dod/jp3_09_3.pdf

Enjoy.

[edit]: i know I had one with detailed instructions for a-10 pilots, for example rescue commands in conjunction with choppers. There were images how to fly around the choppers in order to protect them. Can't find it right now. Anyone remember the doc, the link?

+1 as well...

Thank you! I know searching the internet for these things is easy, but it's always nice when someone else does it before you even think to look.

Anybody else want some rep...i'm feeling generous ;)

Maybe I should make a separate topic with all A-10 related documents? First post would be modified to include list of all links and brief descriptions. I know that all of these documents have already been "found", even on this forum, but they get buried rather quickly. And it's difficult to use "Search" if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. Words like "Manual" are used too often here to help.

And maybe the mods could make it Sticky, if it proves valuable enough. :)

I think that's a good idea, and we all could keep updating and adding to the thread as more documents are shared.

Had the same idea ;-)

Don't hesitate to do it.

Fantastic collection of links Bwaze, and a hugh thanks for spending time and sorting out the a10 Manual. Gonna give me a little bedtime reading till the A10 is servicable, Youre a credit to this community.

Quick question to DCS, Can I use the A10 Manual provided by Bwaze, as a start for my ground school training on your A10 model, E.G. same startup procedure / Emergency procedures etc, or am I getting abit too ahead of myself?

Please let the answer be yes :)

Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros.

any chance on uploading the manuals again because of the megaupload thingy? I'm looking for an electrical wiring schematics. Thanks!

If you want the operations manual as well just google for MCH 1-1 A/OA-10 Vol 5. I have it but can't link it here as I'm away on holiday and don't have access to my pc.

What exactly does this manual show? All I could find looking for it was an operations manual for a drip coffee maker... called the A-10A....

That is the vol 3, the vol 5 is not available online. The vol 5 was superseded by the 3-1 & 3-3 which make up the weapon delivery manual and the "classified" tactics manual.

Neither should be available publicly. But if you ask the right question, in the right way, someone who does have such things might be able to give an answer, depending on the question of course.

Although I will say, some of the tactics guides out there for older sims are actually pretty damn close to some of the contents of the above documents.
