You can go through downloading all the patchs and loading them one by one or , download version 1.1.1.1 from the DCS site and installing it in one lump ..... large download though , but works every time .

You should definitely download the complete 1.1.1.1 Updating often leaves old settings and configs in place, then things get messy.

The "All-in-one Big Pack" is the most reliable way to update.

Yah, I wouldn't bother with the patch unless you're only one version behind. Since you're two versions behind, I'd just download the full 1.1.1.1 version from the download page, uninstall your existing one, and do a new install.

Your controller configuration and other settings are stored in your profile (on Vista/Win7 in C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS Warthog) so you won't lose any of those customisations.

Note that the full installation is four separate files, that all need to be downloaded to the same directory. You then run the first one (the .exe) to start the installer. Each file has several mirrors available. There's also a torrent at the bottom of the download page which will allow you to download all the files using a bittorrent client, which also performs an integrity check to make sure your downloaded files are complete and without errors.

Having an issue with my toe breaks being assigned to pitch and roll on the Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals. I have read other post where it talks about running the regedit and deleting VID _06A3&PID_0763, but I dont have that in my list, instead I got VID _06A3&PID_0764 only. I tried downloading this http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_so..._soft_main.htm but that has not helped with anything either.

I have also tried inverting my toe break axis (but that seems to be of an issue with the brakes not releasing) and nothing. When I pull up the in game control window (rctrl+enter) it shows my toe breaks mapped to pitch and roll, no matter what control setting the pick. Ive gone through all the different X/Y axis settings for the pedals and nothing is working. Ive tried uninstalling the saitek software, and no luck. Seems that everyone else is only having an issue where their toe breaks dont engage/disengage all the way, but I have not read anything for the issue I have. I also have the TM HOTAS Warthog, and that works like a charm. If anyone can help me out, that would be awesome, and again, sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I couldnt find it.

Quick question: how to pop-up windows? I saw on youtube, for example left MFCD or throttle panel after some button/key combination poped-out on half of a screen. Sorry if you can't understand, I don't know how say it diffirently :P

It works in FS2004 and FSX as well.

Sounds like you mean "Snap View". If so, then they can be assigned in your options/controls/views.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

i have the same configuration (Hotas an Pedals) and had the same problems. The problem was that the axis of the pedals were not mapped correctly in DCS by default. I had to delete all assigned axis of the pedal device and then reassign them properly to rudder, wheel brake left & right. Then you can invert the axis.

Ps: About the regedit thing...I deleted the 0764 entry....worked for me.

Thanks Ugene, I deleted that filed and remapped my keys, now they work fine. Also (which I did earlier as well, and it didnt work) it seems they are mapped under "Sim" setting and not "Game". Although I play on game for now and the controls are set up for that, its seems my toe brakes are configured under sim settings.

You all wouldnt know why my slew control wont work now, do ya? I'm using the TM Warthog, and Ive played the maverick training mission several times now with no problems slewing/firing via the coolie switch for the agms. Now, Im messing around with the quick missions/campaign to get some more practice in, but I cant get the slew to work with the coolie, instead I have to use the keyboard. Ive been using the TM WH, and the controls work in the training missions, but during any other mission, it doesnt work, not matter what screen is SOI. Im unable to slew them using the coolie switch (which works during training). As far as I can tell, nothing changes with the controls from training to mission. Ive looked over my control settings, and everything seems fine, is there something I am just missing? Thanks for the help.

Ive been searching the forums like crazy too, but cant seem to find an answer.

There's two game modes, "game" and "simulation" (or "real"). Each has a completely different separate set of control bindings, so you may have your controls configured properly in one mode but not the other.

In the Options menu, go to the "Gameplay" tab and make sure your settings are as desired (i.e. both Game Flight Mode and Game Avionics Mode are disabled if you want to play in simulation/real mode), and then make sure the "Use these options for all missions" option (at the bottom right) is enabled. This will make sure your settings override whatever was specified in the mission itself, and you'll get consistent behaviour across all missions.

That did it. I knew there was something I had to be missing. Works like a charm now, thanks.

I can try. Did you turn on EGI on the NMSP and, have you turned on the CICU? Can you provide screenshots of your cockpit?

First thing to look for is the Caution Light Panel (p.82) on the right console: Anything lit? Then you missed something in the Start-Up procedure.

Usual suspects:

- alignment of EGI not finished, which takes about 8(!) minutes, "patience young Padawan"

- not switched to EGI on NSMP (p.113)

- EAC not enabled (which requires the above to work)

When setting weapons profiles, some have an Escape Maneuver setting. How does this option effect the delivery and is it modeled in the sim? For example, if you set Climbing Turn, and you release straight and level, what difference does it make?

Thanks,

Have a read of this thread over at SimHQ. If you still have questions, ask, and I'll try and answer.

Thanks Eddie. Good info and the graphics are helpful.

I do have a couple more questions ...

Bingo Fuel. I didn't see anything in the manual about setting this. Is this an option?

Hard Deck warning. I'd like to set a warning if I go below a specific alt while I'm in a SAM envelope. Is there a setting to adjust this? I'd assume it would be in a LASTE subpage, but didn't see anything on it.
